A Case Of The Blahs & Let Your Heart Decide Layouts | Elsie Robinson

Hey crafty friends, it's Elsie here with two new layouts using the gorgeous Pinkfresh scrapbook collections!

For my first layout, I used the super fun A Case Of The Blahs collection. I love this collection because whilst it's great to document the best bits of life, it's also nice to have a collection you can use to scrapbook more 'real life' moments!

I love large titles on scrapbook pages, and since I don't create them nearly enough, I knew I wanted to have a large title with a funny "keepin' it real" kind of sentiment as the focus of this layout.

As soon as I saw this Netflix & Introverting cut file I knew I had to use it, because it's definitely my mantra - haha! And since there are several movie-related embellishments in the collection, it worked perfectly!

To go along with my title I used the 6x6 paper pad to create a little old fashioned TV and placed my photo where the screen would be. I also used some of the yellow enamel dots to create the look of dials!

I love the pale blue, coral, yellow and mint green colours in this collection. It's such a fresh, modern and unique colour scheme and is so fun to work with. But to make those colours pop even more, I decided to use one of the many black and white patterns to add some contrast.

tore the top quarter of my background paper off and placed a strip of the 'Chaos' black and white floral pattern behind it. I love the imperfect and torn edge and I think it kinda looks like old and peeling wallpaper, which kinda works with my retro TV! I also tucked some of the chipboard and puffy sticker embellishments to add even more pops of colour and fun sentiments.

My next layout was predominantly created with the Let Your Heart Decide collection, but I also used some papers from the Be You collection.

My starting point for this layout was this photo of my friends and I having a very sterotypical British Afternoon Tea! I love this teacup cut file from Paige Evans and thought this was the perfect cut file to use to document this photo.

I went ahead and used the 6x6 paper pads from the Let Your Heart Decide and Be You collections to back all of the open spots, and this did take quite some time, but I find the process relaxing and I think the results were well worth it!

The blue floral pattern from the 'Instinct' paper is my perhaps my favourite pattern in this collection, so I wanted to use it as my background, however my teacup blended in too much when I put it against the paper.

Instead I decided to cut a large scalloped circle from white cardstock so I had a place to put the teacup, photo and embellishments to help them stand out. I also think it looks like a doily, so it works well with my Afternoon Tea theme!

I used one of the stitched frames to frame my photo and I also created a couple of little shelves with flowers and books on them using the puffy stickers, die-cuts and layered embellishment stickers.

I also did some fussy-cutting and cut the post-it looking sentiments from the LYHD 6x6 paper pad and I cut a blue bow from the 'Spur' paper to place on top of the die-cut wall hanging.

Thanks for stopping by today everyone! I hope you're inspired and have a great week!
