Bold and Bright vs. Soft and Sweet
Hello Pinkfresh fans! It's Adrienne here today with a couple of layouts that I created using the Felicity and Life Noted collections. I wanted to challenge myself a bit so I created a layout for each end of the design spectrum while keeping my own style and tastes in mind.
For this first layout, I wanted to go bold and bright so I chose the "Awesome" black and white striped patterned paper from the Life Noted collection and used some of my favorite spray ink colors on it.
I layered the photo of my son and daughter on top of a piece of the gorgeous uneven chevron patterned vellum and used a couple of the yellow acetate words for a bright pop of color. I scattered a few of the die cut hearts and and some color block wood stickers from the Felicity collection around my page for my embellishments. I kept my overall design simple and just let the beautiful, bright colors shine on their own.
I placed one of the rubber charms from the Life Noted collection on top of my photo to fill some white space and to coordinate with the aqua spray ink I used on my background paper. I also added a few of the Felicity word stickers under my photo to pop off of the pink spray ink. I really love how well both of the collections look paired with each other!
For this next layout, I kept the colors a bit more soft and muted...
I started by using some spray ink in light green and yellow to color the uneven chevron patterned paper from the Felicity collection. I placed my photo next to my journaling card and kept my design fairly linear.
I added lots of die cuts from the Felicity collection around my photo and used the vellum alpha stickers for my title because the colors worked so well with my photo. I love the layers on this page and the overall relaxed feel which goes great with my vacation photo.
Challenging myself to create two completely different layouts was a great way to use the Felicity and Life Noted collections together, as well as apart. I love how both of these layouts are so different, but still "me"! Thanks for dropping by today and I hope I've given you some inspiration to step out of your box and create something totally different!
Have a wonderful day!
