August 2021 Challenge
Welcome to the August challenge at Pinkfresh Studio! You all created such amazing projects for last month's challenge, and we can't wait to see what you create this month! This challenge is for ALL papercrafters - including scrapbooking, cardmaking, minis, journals, notebooks & more!
If you haven't checked it out yet, we featured our Top 3 Cards & Layouts, plus the prize winners from the July challenge on yesterday's post! Who knows...maybe it will be YOU this month! You never know unless you play along! :)
August is all about STRIPES!
There are so many ways to use this challenge theme! You will find striped patterned paper in many of our collections, or you can cut them into strips and use them as stripes on your project. Check out our Color Block collection of stamps & dies for even more stripe options, along with our Slim Stripes die set.
The following ink shades are the best matches for the colors in the challenge: Regal Kiss, Candy Apple, Ballet Slipper, Marigold, & Olive.
As always you can use just the theme, just the colors, or use both for your projects! Here is some inspiration for you from our amazing team:

Rules:
- Create a new card, layout, journal/notebook page, mini album, DIY or any paper project using the challenge graphic posted above. While it is fine if you use items from other companies, the focus should be on Pinkfresh Studio product.
- Post your project to your personal blog, Instagram or online gallery. Please make sure you link back directly to the challenge.
- Add a direct link to your project using the InLinkz below.
- You may enter up to 5 new, never seen before projects into our challenge each month.
- Please make sure to leave a comment on this post! Feel free to tell us a couple details about your project, or mention some challenges you'd like to see in coming months.

Get your creations linked up by Tuesday, August 31st at 11:59pm CST. Winners & the Top 3 will be announced on Saturday, September 4th.

These challenges are so fun and inspiring! I enjoy seeing all the new creations every month and it gets my creativity going as well!!💜
So happy to be able to play along this month! I’m really loving the Horizontal Stripes stencil… whipped it out to put my card together, and loved creating my background with it!
I had so much fun this month. I used almost all the ink colors minus the red, which is funny since it is my favorite color, however, I have a very hard time crafting with the color red…especially painting or watercoloring. I made several backgrounds on watercolor paper with the green, yellow, pink and purple inks in the color palette this month, then used various techniques to create stripes on my cards. I tried to challenge myself also to used up some previous Pinkfresh Studio die cuts I had from another project and sentiments I had made up and keep on hand. I am very pleased with how they turned out.
It’s been a minute since I participated in a challenge, but this was really fun, I love stripes!
What better way to spend a Bank Holiday weekend than scrapping with my favourite collection. I adore stripes so for this bonus layout I used the remainder of my ephemera and stickers from Happy Blooms to create some colour blocking on my layout. Thanks for another fabulous month of challenges and inspiration x

Fun to finally cut some colored cardstock with my Color Block Stripes die. I’ve been using the white strips for little sentiments. Not why I bought it, but works great!
I loved working on this stripe challenge. I chose 3 different colors of teal card stock and used the slimline essentials 3 piece strip dies. I had enough strips from one pass of the dies to make 2 cards. The large foiled sentiment is set off perfectly with the stripe background. Thanks! 💖

Used my PFS diagonal stripes with window die to create a stencil to make my stripes.
My first challenge entry! I’m terrible at crafty timelines, but luckily I was into strips at the right time. WOOT!
