Two ways of creating Floral Fields | Raquel Arribas

Hello again Pinkfresh friends! It's Raquel here today. I'm so happy to be back on the blog sharing some inspiration using the brand new Floral Flied die and coordinating stencils. 

For today's post, I wanted to use these amazing florals to show you a couple of different layouts so can get the more out of this set.

I've created three cards, each one with a different twist, so let's get into it.

Card 1- For my first card I created a super simple pop-up box feature on the bottom of the front panel. My idea was to create this box mimicking a flowerpot stand.

1. Ink up an A2 panel with the Floral Filed stencils using: Grassy Knoll, Olive, Cherry Blossom and Peony for the leaves and Waterfall, Turquoise, Lemon Whip and Sweet Mustard for the blooms.
2. Cut it out using the coordinating Floral Field die.
3. Die cut an A2 panel with the Scalloped Grid cover plate die and use the die cut piece as a stencil to apply Cherry Blossom on top of your A2 side folding card base.
   
4. Cut out a piece of card stock to 4 1/4" by 3". Mask off the 1" side flaps and add Grassy Knoll to the area that will be visible.
5. Place it onto your scoring board with the 3" part right at the top and score it at 5/8" and 7/8" from both ends.
6. Stamp your sentiment with Detail Black ink at the top of your background. I temporarily placed my flowers onto the box to see how tall they were so the flowers wouldn't cover up the sentiment.
7. Fold the flaps of this box and add liquid glue to the flaps that are open and adhere them right at the bottom of the front panel.
8. Add glue only to the bottom of the Flowers and adhere them the front box.
9. You can easily fold this card flat, put it in an envelope and mail it no problem.

Card 2- For my second card I created a mini Slimline card trifold card.

1. Ink up an A2 panel with the Floral Filed coordinating stencils using: Mint, Grassy Knoll and Olive for the leaves and Peony, Raspberry Bliss, Lemon Whip, Sweet Mustard, Sunkissed and Mimosa for the flowers.
2. Cut out these flowers with the coordinating die.
3. Create your card base with white card stock, measuring 7" x 5 3/4". Score it at 2" from one end and 1 1/2" from the other end.
4. Fussy cut your flowers so that the flower at the bottom overlaps the right flap. Trim off the excess leaves as shown in the picture.
5. Add mint ink onto the front flaps and dry emboss each flap with the Stitched Bastet Weave.
6. Adhere your flowers to the front flaps.
7. Stamp your sentiment from the You Are My Rainbow stamp set and die cut it with the coordinating die.
8. Add foam adhesive at the back of the sentiment and adhere it on the left flap of the card.

Card 3- For my final card I created similar Trifold design, this time with the traditional A2 format.

      1. Ink up an A2 panel with the Floral Filed coordinating stencils using: Sky Blue,                    Summer Shower and Storm for the leaves and Shaded Lilac, Candy Violet, Ballet              Slipper, Raspberry Bliss, Candy Apple, Marigold and Apricot  for the flowers.

      2. Cut out these flowers with the coordinating die.

      3. Create your card base from white card stock, measuring 8 1/2" by 5 1/2" and                    score it at 2 3/4" from one end and 1 1/2" from the other end along the long side.

      4. Ink up an A2 panel with Sky Blue ink going heavier at the bottom and fading it                  out towards the top.

      5. Dry emboss this panel with the Stitched Basket Weave cover plate die.

      6. Trim this panel at 2 3/4" and adhere those two new blue panels onto the flaps of             your trifold card.

      7. Cut out your Floral Field flowers at 2 3/4" from the left side, add foam adhesive                and adhere them onto the front flaps. Make sure you fussy cut the flower at the              top.

      8. Stamp your sentiment from the You are my rainbow stamp set, die cut it with the            coordinating die. Add foam adhesive at the back of the sentiment and adhere it              on the left flap of the card.
