Hello and welcome! It's Kelly here today sharing some holiday inspiration using a few of the newly released Slimline Stencils! I had so much fun last week for the release and couldn't wait to use these stencils again! For this card, I used some older products paired with the new Our Home to Yours stamp set and of course, the new stencils!
I had so much fun making my NOEL card for the release which inspired today's card as well. I love using alphabet dies on my cards so that I can create focal points accented with stamped sentiments, like I did here. To begin this card, I created the tiny wreaths by die cutting the smallest Leafy Wreath, twice for each letter, for a total of 6 wreaths. I inked up 3 of the wreaths with Olive ink and 3 with Evergreen ink for a two toned look. Once that was done, I layered the two different colored wreaths together using liquid glue.
I die cut the letters using the AMAZING Lea's Ornate Uppercase die set out of white cardstock, twice for each letter, and then I glued them together with liquid glue. This is really when the whole feel of the card came about. As I was trying to decide what color to add to the letters, I decided I really liked the crisp white layered on top of the green wreaths. Once I had my aesthetic decided, I quickly got to work with the rest of the elements!
I die cut the Essentials: Braided Circles, one for each letter, and then added the wreaths and the die cut letters. Once that was done, I created each of the two stenciled panels. I used the Basic Plaid Layering Stencil for the grey panel and the Diagonal Stripe Stencil for the bottom panel. At this point, I was going for the trendy farmhouse look, but after looking at it a while, I decided it needed that pop of pink! Before I added the bow, houses and heat embossed sentiment, I added some white paint splatter for a snowy look and added detail.
If you like the Artistic Bows as much as I do, then it is the perfect holiday touch to accent this design! I tucked the little houses here and there to create visual movement. I added some coarse crystal glitter to the houses as well as the wreaths, not forgetting to add a few green jewels.
This card was SO much fun to make using these new stencils! Thanks so much for joining me today!
