Sweet Day | TaeEun Yoo
Hello and happy Friday everyone! It’s TaeEun here today with an interactive birthday card in a yummy color mix! I made this card using the new Sweet Day product suite from the latest release and the A2 Slider Card die set from the previous release ! I picked one of my favorite color combo from the Pinkfresh Studio inks - Coral Reef and Apricot with a bit of light brown of Warm Buff and Peach Fuzz :) . Let’s take a look!
I started off by hot foiling the Sweet Day in gold on a Neenah solar white panel. I then stenciled the cute cake and the cupcake using the coordinating stencil set.
The outside of the cake was stenciled in Warm Buff. I made the sides a little bit darker for a 3D effect. For the top of the cake I used Coral Reef and for the deco of the top Passion Fruit. The icing on the side of the cake was colored in Apricot and Coral Reef. For the banner I used the same colors but this time with a very light hand. The inside of the cake was colored in Lemon Whip and Warm Buff.
The cupcake was stenciled using the same colors like the big cake. Once I was done with the stenciling I stamped the sentiment on the banner in Detail Black and cut the images using the coordinating die and set them aside.
To make the interactive part I began by ink blending a white A2 sized Neenah solar white panel in Coral Reef and Passion Fruit keeping the perimeter darker than the center. Next I went over it with Apricot to add a bit of the orange tint to it. I then cut the panel using the slider die from the A2 Slider Card die set. I adhered the negative piece on a white cardbase and added the slider part using foam tape. After that I splattered white opaque ink on the card and let it dry.
While the card was drying I cut the tag from some white cardstock. I ink blended Apricot and Lemon Whip on the right upper part of the tag and adhered the cupcake with the tiny flag on it. I also added some golden sparkle images from the Foiled Sentiments 6 pack to the tag and tied a golden thread. To make the interactive part work I attached the bottom end of the tag on the back of the interactive front panel.
Next I adhered a rectangle golden sentiment from the Foiled Sentiments 6 Pack on the cardbase behind the interactive part.
The sentiment of the front is also from the Sweet Day set. I stamped it in Detail Black on a piece of cardstock which I ink blended in Coral Reef and cut it with the coordinating die.
Lastly I adhered the big cake on the front and added some Gold Glitter Drops.
The working process might sound complicated but it was quite easy to make this interactive card! Hope you give this a try!
Thank you so much for stopping by!
Have a lovely weekend!
