Hello friends! It's Angela here, and today I've got a card to share with you that was inspired by this month's Pinkfresh Challenge. The theme for December is All Things Holiday, so I pulled together some of my favorite Pinkfresh products for holiday cards and got straight down to crafting.

I began by making a colorful background layer, cutting several half-inch stripes from pink and red cardstock and adhering them to a piece of plain printer paper. After covering it completely, I trimmed the edges off to create a rectangle slightly smaller than my A2 card base, then used the Essentials Stitches cover plate die to create an all-white panel to layer on top.

Tip: Since I knew the stitched piece needed to be smaller than the striped rectangle, I trimmed my white cardstock down to 3.5 x 4.75" first, prior to die cutting it. The Stitches die is sized to cut a full A2 cardfront, but with the stitch detailing being so fine, I didn't want to risk any edges getting caught in my paper trimmer by cutting it down afterwards.

Before mounting these layers on my card base, I used one of the frames from the Fancy Label Frames die set to cut out the striped shape that you see in the middle of the card. (Nobody will ever know that the background layer is missing that part... well, except for all of you reading this!) Next, I used the Leafy Circle Die to cut two pieces, layering them on top of each other with liquid glue. In the center, I used a foiled 'Joy to the World' from the Perfect Holiday Sentiments set, adhering it with some skinny foam tape strips to help it pop forward.

Finally, I used the Partial Cut Bouquet and Bow die set to create a super sparkly bow from glitter cardstock. When I first got this die, I had trouble getting the looped parts of my bows to look smooth - something that you don't really notice here because the surface of the glitter paper isn't smooth like regular cardstock. That said, I've found that regardless of what paper you're using, it helps to curl the bow piece over a smooth pen, pencil or craft knife before securing the ends.

To finish the card, I used tiny (but very strong!) clear glue dots to adhere the bow to its base, then used liquid glue to attach the bow's base to my card. If you've got a lot of cardstock strips in your stash, this project is a great way to use some of them up. Of course, the Perfect Holiday Sentiments hot foil plate and coordinating die also make it super easy to batch-create sentiments, so if you're in a time crunch to get your holiday cards done, this could be a great design to try!
