Stencilled Christmas Trees | Cheryl Espie

Stencilled Christmas Trees | Cheryl Espie

Hi Pinkfresh Studio friends

Today, I am sharing a neat way to use the Overlapping Triangles Stencil that was released in July. The stencil itself is really cool and geometric. This gave me the idea of using the stencil on its side for Christmas Trees.

To create this modern seasonal card, I started by choosing cool dye inks by Pinkfresh Studio that would compliment each other but also blend okay when they overlapped during the ink blending process. The colours I chose were Sky Blue, Ocean Breeze, Mint & Meadow.

I used the Overlapping Triangle Stencils horizontally instead of vertically. I was able to choose which triangles I was going to use and the different sizes.

After the ink blending was completed I die cut the tree panel with the Stitched Christmas Star Coverplate that was released this week by Pinkfresh Studio. I then die cut the panel again using the Essentials: Stitched Rectangles.

Another fantastic release this week is the Holiday Large Sentiments Stamp Set, boy this is a fantastic set! I stamped one of the sentiments from the set in PFS Detailed Black Ink then added some clear embossing powder to heat set it.

After initially die cutting the sentiment, I decided to die cut layers in black cardstock. This really lets the sentiment pop off the background. I love it!

To finish, I added lots of sparkly bling in similar colours across the base of the trees. This really did add that extra something, something. The Glitter Drops I used are Leaf, Lagoon & Aqua.

As usual my friends, I have made a reel demonstrating this card coming together so make sure you keep an eye out over on Instagram @pinkfreshstudio

I hope you will give it a try! Also, make sure you check out the new seasonal release this week. It will certainly get you ahead with your holiday crafting.

Until next time friends and happy crafting.

Cheryl
