Hi, everyone! Hope your week is off to a great start! It’s TaeEun here today sharing a thank you card with a whimsical, folk art feel. This card features the gorgeous Swan Reverie product suite from the latest release. This suite includes a stamp, press plate and coordinating stencils and today I used the press plate and hot foiled it in gold for an elegant and enchanted touch to the dreamy Swan Reverie design.
For the background, I kept things soft and airy by watercoloring a light blue wash using the new Premium Liquid Watercolors—just enough color to let the white swan truly shine.

Here is how I made the card.
- Hot foil the Swan Reverie press plate in gold onto a Premium Watercolor Paper panel.
- Watercolor the lower half of the panel in ombré blue using Sky Blue and Seaside Premium Liquid watercolor and allow it to dry completely.
- Color the Swan Reverie image with the coordinating stencils.
- Stencil 1: Waterfall, Calico White - swan
- Stencil 2: Cherry Blossom, Waterfall - wing ends
- Stencil 3: Sparkling Rose, Lavender - wing ends
- Stencil 4: Blue Jay, Opulence - leaf base
- Stencil 5: Marigold - Die cut the panel with the largest die from the Single Stitch Rectangle die set and adhere it to a white cardbase.
- Hot foil the sentiment from Lush Elegance in gold and die cut it.
- Die cut four extra sentiment layers and stack them behind the hot foiled piece for added dimension.
- Ink blend a piece of white cardstock in Lavender and cut it into a banner using the Basic Banners die set.
- Matt the sentiment with the banner and adhere to the card.
- Finish with a few Gold Metallic Pearls for extra shine and elegance.

Tip: Soft watercolor washes offer a subtle, seamless background that connects smoothly with your focal image. In my card, the soft background wash helps the white swans shine without adding any harsh contrast.
Thank you for visiting! I hope this gentle watercolor look sparks a little inspiration for your own creations. Until next time, happy crafting :) !
