Sending Hugs and Pastel Florals | Dilay Nacar
Hello, friends! I hope everyone is having a wonderful start to their new year! Today, I’m sharing this soft, pastel floral card with lots of dimension and texture! Let’s begin!
To begin, I die cut the Pop-Out: Sunburst die in multiple colors of pastel cardstock and once in white cardstock. I adhered the white cut-out onto an A2-sized card base and filled in the spaces with the negative pastel pieces, using foam adhesive. To finish the background, I adhered two white circles that were cut using the Folk Edge Circle dies, adhering the large one first followed by the smaller circle on top, again with foam adhesive.
For the florals, I stamped and heat embossed the Be Strong stamp set in gold, then colored them in using their coordinating stencils and ink colors in: Sunshine, Lemon Whip, Marigold, Sparkling Rose, Ballet Slipper, Grassy Knoll, and Fresh Pear. I then cut them with their coordinating die and assembled them around the circles to create a wreath-like appearance. To fill in the gaps, I added white leaves cut with the Leafy Branch die.
To finish, I stamped and heat embossed the Perfect Sentiments stamp set and chose ‘sending hugs,’ adhering it to the center. Keep in mind: if you prefer to create a card with less dimension, you can skip the foam adhesive and use glue or tape runner. This design will work great either way!
Thank you so much for joining me today! I wish every one of you a happy and healthy new year!
