Pretty in Pink | Kelly Lunceford
Hello friends! It's Kelly here today sharing two cards for all of you pink lovers out there! If pink isn't your thing, all of these cards are easily created in any color combination you choose, especially with all of the gorgeous shades of Ink that Pinkfresh Studio has to offer! They are hands down my favorite inks!
My first card uses the fabulous floral image from the Just Because stamp set that is stamped in black and then colored using an assortment of alcohol markers. I used the coordinating Just Because die to cut it out. I set it aside to work on the other design elements that I used on this card.
I die cut the Intricate Mandala out of white cardstock and punched out a few of the holes around the perimeter. I purposely did this because I knew it would be layered on top of the background and didn't want too much visual distraction. Hopefully that makes sense! LOL! I layered the floral image onto the mandala using foam squares for dimension.
The sentiment is stamped directly onto a top folding A2 card base using black ink. I also stamped a 4 1/ 4inch square piece of white cardstock using the Diamond Tiles background stamp in black and layered it on top of the card base using foam squares. Once that was done, I added the mandala piece using additional foam squares.
The finishing touch to this floral design is an ink blended Artistic Bow and some Essentials Jewels placed here and there.
My second card for today uses the amazing Lacey Edgers 1 die set to create this fun and frilly background! I also paired them with a portion of the Enchanted Blooms background stamp to give it some added detail. To begin, I die cut two of each of the three edgers I planned on using and then added the ink blending using Ballet Slipper, Sparkling Rose and Raspberry Bliss ink.
I glued them onto a panel of white cardstock that was die cut using the Diagonal Stitched Rectangles. I used my paper trimmer to cut off the excess for a nice, clean edge. The background was also die cut using the Diagonal Stitched Rectangles and then cut to a smaller piece to fit inside the two rows of lacey edgers.
I die cut the word "HI" using the fabulous Kelly Alpha Upper Case die out of white cardstock. I added some Raspberry Bliss ink to each letter as well as an Artistic Bow (surprise, surprise!). I just can't stop with the bows! The sentiment, which is from the Simply Sentiments Hello stamp set, is heat embossed in white onto a strip of black cardstock to really make it pop! I added this using foam squares. Of course it just wouldn't be complete without a few jewels here and there for sparkle and shine!
Both of these cards were so much fun to make! I hope you've enjoyed today's cards! Thanks for stopping by!
