Happy Birthday Folk Art Slimline | Dilay Nacar
Welcome back, friends! Dee here today sharing a rainbow floral slimline card featuring the Folk Art Slimline Layering Stencils, bringing together a few of my favorite ink colors and dies. Let’s get started!
To begin, I created a colorful background with the Folk Art Slimline Layering Stencils. I used the same ink colors for each stencil (from left to right: Raspberry Bliss, Sunshine, Key Lime, Seaside, and Lavender) intensifying the color with each successive layer. Once complete, I cut the stenciled panel using the Blanket Stitch Slimline die then cut a second one in white. Although I love the birds on this stencil, I decided to create a leafy border by cutting the bottom 1/3 of the slimline panel with a Slim Lacy Edger die.
To create the leaves peeking out from below, I cut the Curvy Foliage die five times in white and ink blended one with each of the above colors. To assemble the card, I added foam tape behind the die-cut panel, adhered each leaf, then adhered it onto the white Blanket Stitched Slimline base.
For the sentiment, I foiled the Brushed Sentiments ‘Happy Birthday,’ die cut them with the coordinating dies, then ink blended over the foil with each color before adding it to the center of the card. To finish, I added some jewels throughout for a little extra sparkle!
I hope that you enjoyed learning more about this card and are inspired to get crafty! Thanks so much for stopping by!
