Hello everyone! I hope you’re having a wonderful week so far! It’s TaeEun here today with a floral card featuring the Bloom & Brew Press Plate and a fun spotlight coloring technique. I spotlighted the image using the Nested Hexagons Blanket Stitched dies to match this month's Challenge - Geometric Genius. I also followed the challenge color palette and watercolored the image with Premium Liquid Watercolors.

Here is how I made the card.

1. Press the image of the Bloom & Brew Press Plate onto Premium Watercolor Paper using Detail Black ink.
2. Repeat Step 1 to create two pressed panels.
3. Watercolor one panel using the Premium Liquid Watercolors in the following colors:
   - Flowers, teapot, and the cup: Bubble Gum, Clementine, Sunshine
   - Leaves: Citron, Mint, Atlantis
   - Tablecloth: Citron, Sunshine
   - Background: Aquamarine, Seaside
   * Watercolor loosely by applying a first layer in lighter color, then dropping in deeper color while the first layer is still wet for smooth blending.
4. Die cut three hexagons in different sizes from the colored panel using the Nested Hexagons Blanket Stitched dies.
5. Adhere the second uncolored pressed panel to a white cardbase.
6. Layer the three watercolor hexagons over the base panel using foam tape, carefully aligning the stamped outlines to create a spotlight effect.
7. Stamp the sentiment from Petal Poise stamp set in Detail Black onto white cardstock, then die cut it using the coordinating die.
8. Die cut a banner from Premium Watercolor Paper using Basic Banners die, then watercolor it with Citron.
9. Attach the banner to the card using foam tape, and then adhere the sentiment on top.
10. Embellish with a few Leaf and Champagne Clear Drops to finish.

TIPS: Wet on wet coloring for smooth blending: For soft, seamless shading, paint a light first layer and drop in richer color while the area is still wet to let the pigments blend naturally.
Spotlighting with smaller dies is a great way to add interest to a one-layer design. This time, I used hexagon dies to match our challenge theme!
