Foliage Shaker & Matching Tag Fall Inspiration┃Yasmin Diaz

Happy Monday, Pinkfresh friends! Yasmin here sharing a leafy card and matching tag Fall inspiration with a “Dimensional & Shaker” look using the Foliage Shaker Die and Shaker Tag Book Die to create the shaker and leafy effect. Also, to make this card, I used the Dotted Chevron Coverplate Die to add texture to the card background. And lastly, I used the Thanks for Being There Stamp and Thanks for Being There Die for the card sentiment. So, without further ado, let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it.

Therefore, I started by doing the die-cutting step for each solid layer leaf. So, to get this done, I used the die-cut machine and the die included in the Foliage Shaker Die alongside different colored cardstock and gold cardstock to get the outlined die-cutting pieces to add gold accents to the leaves.

Thus, after completing the die-cutting step, I glued down the shaker layer over the die-cutting solid layer leaves. Then, I inlaid some of the gold die-cutting pieces to create a different variation of gold accents to some of the leaves. And once I completed that step, I put the layered leaves aside and added dimension to two leaves to add the shaker effect.

Then, after adding the shaker effect to the leaves, I put them aside to continue with the die-cutting step for the card background. So, to add texture to the card’s background, I used white cardstock and the Dotted Chevron Coverplate Die. Once, I finished adding texture to the card background, I added glue to the backside and got the backside glued to an A2-size top folding white card base.

Therefore, once I finished gluing down the textured card background to the card base, I created a leafy pattern over the front and textured card panel, so to do that, I glued the layered leaves in different directions, and one of the shaker leaves, as well.

Moving on, right after I had gotten the leaves glued to the card’s front panel, I used the paper trimmer to trim off the hanging pieces from the card base, and as soon as I got that done, I finished the card by adding a dimensional card sentiment over the lower right corner of the card. As for the card sentiment, I used one of the sentiments from the Thanks for Being There Stamp and the coordinating die included in the Thanks for Being There Die

Since I had one of the shaker leaves and a few more layered leaves left, I decided to make a matching tag, so to do that, I used the dies included in the Shaker Tag Book Die to die-cut the tag base and the die-cutting tag window. By the way, I decided to skip the shaker effect for the shaker tag due to the shaker effect added to the leaf.

However, instead of adding the shaker effect to the tag, I added dimension and texture using the same die I used in the card for the dotted texture. That being said, after getting the die-cutting pieces for the tag, I got the assembling steps done, and then I added a delicate detail to it by using chiffon ribbon to tie up a bow over the tag hole. By the way, I used the reinforcement die to die-cut the reinforcement tag pieces out of gold cardstock.

Lastly, I added the shaker leaf and one of the layered leaves over the left side of the tag, and to finish the card off, I added a sentiment; a sentiment which I got stamped and gold heat embossed over white cardstock, and then layered to create dimension in the same way as I did for the card. By the way, I would like to mention that this sentiment is also part of the same stamp set I used for the card.
