Floral Notes | Caly Person
Hello, Friends!
Thanks for joining me today for a floral slimline card using the beautiful Floral Notes set! Today, I'm using the Stamp, Stencils, and Dies to create my colorful card for a no-line look which I have loved seeing by other card makers from the latest release.
For the no-line look, I skipped the stamping and went straight for the Floral Notes Stencils. I blended first the larger blooms using Coral Reef ink, then added Passion fruit towards the centers to blend out the color. Then I used the second stencil with the little flower blooms to add the dark centers on the large blooms using Regal Bliss.
The second stencil, as I mentioned, also includes the smaller blooms - which I ink-blended with Ocean Breeze and Aquamarine inks. I like to add the lighter color first, then the darker color to add shading. I did the same with the 3rd stencil using Fresh Pear and Key Lime inks for the foliage.
After die-cutting, I set the floral image aside to work on the background. I used the Diamond Plaid Stencils to make the background by using inks I also used on the flowers. I ink-blended the single strip stencil first with Coral Bliss, then the tri-strip stencil with Regal Bliss. It blends a beautiful purple color!
To finish my card, I added white and Regal Bliss splatters. My sentiment is stamped and embossed from the Floral Notes stamp set, which I added to my panel with foam adhesive. Finally, I added some Pinkfresh Studio Jewels to embellish my card.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you enjoyed my project!
