Fancy Blooms Birthday
Hi everyone! It's Anne here on the Pinkfresh blog today with a project made with stamps from the Fancy Blooms set, the Lush Vines background stamp and some colored pencils.
I stamped out the blooms with a fade out ink and picked out some pencils. I have a wider selection of colors with my pencils than I do with markers, so that's really why I decided to go with them.
I was looking at Autumn colors for this project, so I used a wine red for the blooms, a slate gray for some of the leaves and an artichoke color for the other bits and bobs. When I was done coloring I re-stamped and heat embossed over the image then die cut it out.
I decided that I want some color behind the image but nothing too distracting, so I used Pinkfresh's Berrylicious and Stargazer inks with a blender brush to apply a halo of color on white card stock, making sure it was in the general area where the die cut image would go. Then I white heat embossed Lush Vines over it. It's a little easier to see when you're holding the card, very pretty!
I used some foam tape to pop up the image and used a lovely die set, Thin Words: Everyday script, which is exclusive to Scrapbook.com, for the sentiment. I might have gone overboard on the Nuvo drops, but I was having fun and ended up liking it!
I love sharing with you some of my design choices and I hope that you are inspired to make something new today!
