Sneaky Embroidered Blooms Card | Kathleen Schmelz

Hi Pinkfresh fans! Kathleen here, and today I’m sharing a card featuring the Embroidered Blooms product suite, along with the Jody Uppercase Alpha Dies, as well as the Nested Rectangles Postage Edge dies.

I used soft, cheerful colors for the flowers to create a fresh, spring-inspired design that really pops out from behind the negative of the die cut alphas. This card is perfect for any occasion, bringing a burst of color and joy! Let’s dive into the details:

1. Start with a white A2 card base. Use the second largest die from the Nested Rectangles Postage Edge dies & cut it from lilac card stock (or whichever color you like) & adhered it centered on the card base.
2. Cut a white panel to 3"x4.25" and die cut the word HUGS using the Jody Uppercase Alpha dies. Leave a gap of 3/4" between the upper and lower row.
3. Use the embroidered Blooms stencils and a mix of fresh, bright colors to ink blend the floral images. Die cut using the coordinating die.
4. Adhere the die cut pieces behind the white panel with the word HUGS.
5. Adhere the backed panel to the colored card stock using foam adhesive for dimension.
6. Cut a strip of card stock in a coordinating color (I used teal) to 3.75"x5/8" and heat emboss a sentiment onto it. I used a sentiment from the Floral Kaleidoscope stamp set & white detail embossing powder.
7. Adhere the sentiment strip to the center of the card.
8. Embellish to your liking using jewels, clear drops or glitter drops.

Quick tip: You can easily switch up the color scheme of the card and change the sentiment and die-cut word to match different occasions!
