Sending Hugs | Dilay Nacar
Hi, friends! Dee here today sharing a pretty and delicate card featuring the Garden Roses stamp set, coordinating stencils, and die!
I began by partial stenciling with the Skinny Plaid Layering stencil in Lemon Whip ink on a piece of A2-sized white cardstock, then added splatter with gold paint. While that was drying, I cut the lace edge with the Lacey Edgers 1die set and adhered it, at an angle, at the point where the stenciling ends. I then cut the frame with the Ornate Banner die set and adhered that over top of the stenciled panel, trimming off any excess.
Next, I stamped, stenciled, and die cut the Garden Roses using Soft Lilac and Lavender for the Roses and Tidal Pond for the stems and leaves. I adhered the die cut roses on top of the frame at an angle and trimmed off the excess.
For the sentiment, I stamped, and heat embossed ‘sending’ from the Garden Roses stamp set, then adhered it onto the trim. I die cut ‘hugs’ from the Thin Words Everyday Script die set twice in white cardstock, adhered them together, heat embossed it in the same gold powder, then adhered it below the trim. As a finishing touch, I added gold metallic pearls for some extra shine. Once complete, I adhered the completed panel onto an A2-sized, top-folding card base.
Thanks so much for joining me today! I hope that you enjoyed learning more about how I created this soft and delicate card!
