Happy Monday, Pinkfresh friends! Yasmin here sharing with you this fun set of “Glimmering & Citrus” inspiration cards made using the just released Citrus Bloom Layering Stencils and Citrus Bloom Die. This set includes its coordinating Citrus Bloom Stamp Set which, I skipped to create a no-line coloring look blooms. Besides using this sweet and citrus set, I used Lush Vines Hot Foil Plate and conjunction with Solid Hot Foil Plate to add the glimmering greenery touch to the background card panels. Then, to add dimension, I used Essentials Blanket Stitched Oval Die Set and Floral Harmony Die. For the cards sentiments, I used Lemons and Blueberries Stamp Set, and as for the card embellishments I used Metallic Pearls -Gold, and of course PFS- Inks to add a pop of color to the to the citrus blooms. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made them.

To begin with, I started off by lining up a white card panel over my stencil mat and then, I went ahead to get it ink up using some ink blending brushes and the 7 stencils including in Citrus Bloom Layering Stencil Set. Thus, for the inking process, I went ahead to use the following color combination: Peach Fuzz Ink, Apricot Ink, Ballet Slipper Ink and Coral Reef Ink for the flowers. Lemon Whip Ink and Marigold Ink for the lemons. Apricot Ink and Clementine Ink for the oranges. A combination of and Emerald City and Evergreen Ink for the lightest side of the leaves. Plus, a combination of Evergreen Ink and Metropolis Ink for the darker side of the leaves.

Next, as soon as I had finished inking up the card panel, I went ahead to set it off to the side to let the inks soak into it. Meanwhile, I went ahead to get the hot foil stamping process done over a white card panel. As for the hot foil process, I went ahead to use Lush Vines Hot Foil Plate along with a piece of glimmer hot foil in the color Aura + the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System. To make 2 in 1 card backgrounds I used as well Solid Hot Foil Plate. So, after finishing the hot foil stamping process, I went ahead to cut out the ovals that I was going to use to add dimension to the card, so to do that I used the largest die including in Essentials Blanket Stitched Oval Die Set and Floral Harmony Die.

Moving on, for the card assembling, I went ahead to trim off the edges from the hot foil stamping card panel a little bit smaller than the card base, and then I proceeded to get the backing of it adhered to an A2 size top folding white card base. Next, I glued down the backing of the stitched die-cutting oval over the front card panel and then, I’ve got mounted the small textured and die-cutting oval to add dimension with craft foam adhesive over the other oval. Lastly, I went ahead to create a small floral cluster using some of the citrus blooms and then, I’ve got it mounted over the lower side of the smaller oval. Then, to finish the card off, I went ahead to mount the card sentiment. A card sentiment, which I’ve had previously stamp and heat emboss over a strip of white cardstock using one of the sentiments including in Lemons and Blueberries Stamp Set. Also, to add even more shine to the card, I went ahead to glue down here and there some Metallic Pearls -Gold.

For the second example, I made a slightly tunnel looking card, so to do that I went ahead to adhered down the backing of the second hot foil stamping background panel over to another A2 size top folding white card base.

Next, I went ahead to cut out a smaller stitched oval from another white card panel using the smaller die including in Essentials Blanket Stitched Oval Die Set. Once, I had that step done I’ve quickly gone ahead to mount the white card panel with the smaller die-cutting stitched oval window to the front card panel using craft foam adhesive to raise a little bit of dimension to it.

Lastly, to add more dimension to the card, I went ahead to create another layer over it, so I went ahead to mount with more craft foam adhesive the panel with the large stitched oval window. Then, after doing that, I proceeded to get the card embellishment done, so to do that, I created two citrus cluster using the die-cutting blooms. Citrus cluster, which I’ve got mounted over the lower left and upper right sides of the large oval window. Lastly, to finish the card off, I went ahead to mount the card sentiment along with some of the metallic gold pearls to add an extra pop of sparkle to it. By the way, for the card sentiment I used another sentiment from Lemons and Blueberries Stamp Set.
