Christmas Card in the Quilt Look┃Maria Peters
Hello Pinkfresh Friends,
this is Maria and today I share a card with you I created with the Oh what fun 6x6 Paper Pad and the Phrase Builder Happy Holidays Die Set. I love quilts and my idea was to create a clean and simple card in the 'Quilt look'.
First, I chose different papers from the Oh what Fun 6x6 Paper Pad. I'm so in love with these papers. The colors and the patterns are so inspiring. With the smallest square die from the Essentials: Stitched squares Die Set I diecutted 18 squares from the different papers.
Then I diecutted a rectangle with the Slim stitched rectangle Die Set. Afterwards I arranged the squares and glued them on the rectangle. Then I cut off the excess with my paper guillotine. Then I foam mounted the cardfront to my cardbase for dimension.
For the sentiment I diecutted the word Christmas out of the Phrase Builder Happy Holidays Die Set four times from white cardstock and once from red cardstock. Then I glued the words together and put them on the card front. To get the word Happy only I split a sentiment from the Scripted bold sentiments 2.
I stamped it with Versamark Ink on a thin strip of red cardstock and heat white embossed it. Afterwards I mounted it on the cardfront using foam tape. To finish the card I added a bit of Nuvo Glitter Drops on the Christmas Sentiment.
Thank you so much for stopping by and have a great day!
Maria

A stunning, inspiring card! A wonderful way to use those smaller pieces of pretty paper we don’t want to toss and give them new life! I love this idea…and depending on the paper, it works for so many seasons/occasions!
