Bold Floral Card with Pink Ombré Layers | TaeEun Yoo

Hello everyone! I hope your week is off to a great start! It’s TaeEun here today with a fiery floral card featuring the gorgeous Golden Poppies die and stencil sets from the Daydream Edit Release. For the background, I combined the layering background dies, Diamond Delight and Modern Mosaic, and created bright pink ombré design to complement the floral arrangement. I love how the vivid background echoes the color of the main flower while still letting the floral cluster remain the focal point :) !

Here is how I made the card.

1. Die cut white cardstock using the Golden Poppies die.
2. Leave the die cut pieces in place and stencil the images using the coordinating stencil set in the following colors.
   - Stencil 1: Coral Reef, Peony
   - Stencil 2: Passion Fruit
   - Stencil 3: Berrylicious
   - Stencil 4: Apricot, Marigold
   - Stencil 5: Espresso
   - Stencil 6: Bay Leaf, Sheer Freesia
3. Ink blend a white A2 panel in a circular ombré pattern, keeping the outer area darker, using Coral Reef, Peony, Passion Fruit and Candy Apple.
4. Die cut the ink blended panel using the Diamond Delight die.
5. Ink blend a light pink cardstock panel in the same circular ombré style using Passion Fruit and Candy Apple, this time making it slightly darker.
6. Die cut this second panel using the Modern Mosaic die.
7. Die cut two additional Modern Mosaic layers from heavyweight white cardstock and stack them behind the ink blended panel for dimension.
8. Adhere the Diamond Delight panel to a white cardbase and add the layered Modern Mosaic piece on top.
9. Arrange the Golden Poppies floral elements, secure them temporarily with a piece of Press’n Seal, add foam tape to the back, and place the arrangement onto the card.
10. Press the sentiment from the Elegant Essence Press Plate set in Detail Black, die cut it, and add it to the card.
11. Finish the card with a few Magenta Glitter Drops.

Tip : Die cutting the floral elements first and then coloring them with the coordinating stencil set is another great way to use the coordinating stencil and die suites, it also makes stencil alignment a bit easier.

I really love how the layered background adds texture and detail while still keeping the focus on the flowers. The circular ombré design, with the color deepening toward the outer edges, helps the floral arrangement stand out beautifully and naturally draws the eye to the center of the card.
