Blooming Pastels with the Embroidered Blooms | Karin Hoegger

Hi everyone! I’m Karin and today we’re diving into a delightful DIY project that combines the softness of pastel colors with the joy of card-making. I’ll guide you through the process of creating a beautiful card using the gorgeous Embroidery Hoop Die Set and the lovely Embroidered Blooms Die in soft pastel colors.

Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or just starting out,this project is perfect for adding a personal touch to your greetings. So, gather your materials, and let’s get started!

1. Use a square base card measuring 5 1/2" x 5 1/2".

2.  Die-cut a large circle using the largest die from the Inverted Stitched Scallop Circles (it fits perfectly for the large embroidery hoop). 

3.  Die-cut the larger embroidery hoop three times and layer them on top of each other for more dimension.

4.  For the blooms, first you have to ink seven pieces of white cardstock using 1“ Blending Brushes and the following ink colors: Ballet Slipper, Cherry Blossom, Coral Reef, Peach Fuzz, Limoncello, Ocean Breeze and Fresh Pear.

5.  Next, die-cut the Embroidered Blooms from each of the colored cardstocks.

6. Arrange some of the flowers and leaves on the die-cut circle in rainbow order and trim off any excess that goes over the edges.

7.  Adhere the embroidery hoop on top of the circle from step 2. Secure everything on the card base using foam squares.

8.  For the sentiment stamp the little "THANKS" from the Butterflies in Bloom Set in black and cut them to a little rectangle and arrange it on the card.

9.  Finally, add a pretty ribbon bow to the Embroidery Hoop.

You can easily change the colors of the floral designs from pastel to bold or adjust the message to suit various occasions!
