A Masculine Card using Mark the Moment | TaeEun Yoo

Hi, everyone! Hope you’re having a great week so far! It’s TaeEun here today sharing a non-floral card that could work perfectly as a masculine design. I used the Mark the Moment product suite from the Whispering Views Release. This card was inspired by the Pinkfresh Studio August Challenge with the theme PATTERN PLAY. I also took the colors for my design from the challenge color palette.

The Mark the Moment suite includes small geometric shape dies along with stencils and dies feature symbolic elements representing exploration and self-confidence.
With so many mix-and-match options, it’s easy to create a unique, customized look.

Here's how I put it together:

1. Stencil the hexagons onto small pieces of white cardstock in Marigold, Begonia and Coral Reef with the coordinating stencil and die cut them using the coordinating die.
2. Stencil the small elements (a car, a bike, a ship) in Lavender and Sapphire, then cut them with the coordinating die.
3. Stencil the backgrounds for the small elements onto the hexagons in Lavender. For the bike, stamp the tree image multiple times using the Mark the Moment stamp set.
4. Stencil the Slimline Horizontal Stripes in Lavender onto the front of a white cardbase to tie in the theme of pattern play.
5. Cut a piece of dark violet cardstock using the Blanket Stitched Brackets die and foam mount it to the left side of your card front.
6. Adhere the hexagons using foam tape, then add the stenciled elements on top with more foam tape to create dimension.
7. Color three pieces of white cardstock in Marigold and Coral Reef, die cut them into banners, and stamp the sentiments in Lavender before attaching them to the hexagons.
8. Embellish the card with a few Amethyst Glitter Drops to add subtle touch of shine.

Whether it’s a theme, a color palette, or a sketch, having a starting point already provided makes it much easier to dive into a project. Sometimes all you need is that little creative nudge 😊!
