We are thrilled to announce the Create & Connect: Creative Passport - a virtual card-making event celebrating designs inspired by cultures around the world!

This creative journey will take you across continents through beautifully crafted projects: the delicate charm of Japanese sakura, the timeless motifs of Nordic folk art, the vibrant elegance of Indian parakeet and botanical artistry, the sun-kissed beauty of a Santorini landscape with Mediterranean lemons, and the intricate refinement of Oriental designs.

Join us in February 2026 for two unforgettable days of crafty fun with our incredible instructors: Carissa Wiley, Dawn Woleslagle, Jaycee Gaspar, Jennifer McGuire, Kathleen Schmelz, and Yana Smakula. Together, we’ll explore how culture and creativity unite to inspire your card-making.

Registering for our Create & Connect virtual event grants you access to six live classes during the event dates. These classes use brand-new Pinkfresh Studio products that have never been seen or sold before! Throughout the event, you will create beautiful cards while exploring new card-making techniques and gain valuable tips and tricks for using your event products. 

Each class is about 2 hours long, and you create 2 cards with each instructor. We provide a printed booklet for each class, containing instructions, in case you wish to complete the class projects at your own pace.

Each instructor provides 2 bonus make-and-take projects, complete with instructions and short pre-recorded videos that you will create on your own. These will give you more ideas for stretching your supplies to get continued use of all the beautiful products in your event kit!

Class 1 - Shizuku Sakura with Carissa Wiley

Shizuku means “dew drops” in Japanese, symbolizing freshness and fleeting elegance - just like the delicate cherry blossoms that bloom each spring. Class 2 - Santorini Blue & Amalfi Lemons with Dawn Woleslagle
Transport yourself to the sun-soaked beauty of the Mediterranean in our Santorini Blue & Amalfi Lemons class, taught by Dawn Woleslagle. Inspired by the iconic whitewashed walls and blue domes of Santorini paired with the fresh vibrancy of Amalfi lemons, this class combines architectural elegance with natural charm. Class 3 - Oriental Bloom with Jaycee Gaspar
Discover the elegance of Chinese-inspired artistry in our Oriental Bloom class, taught by Jaycee Gaspar. This design draws from traditional Oriental floral motifs, blending flowing lines and graceful blooms with a sense of harmony and refinement. Class 5 - Chirpy Mithu with Yana Smakula
Celebrate the vibrancy of Indian artistry in our Chirpy Mithu class, taught by Yana Smakula. This design is inspired by the elegance of the Indian parakeet, affectionately called “Mithu” in Hindi, set amidst intricate botanical florals. In Indian households, Mithu is a common and endearing name for the parakeet, symbolizing joy, liveliness, and companionship. Class 6 - Stretch Your Supplies with Jennifer McGuire

You will receive a shipping confirmation email once your order has shipped. 

Homework

We will send an email with the homework for your class, which includes cutting card bases and panels in advance. This email will go out sometime in mid-January. We are doing this so that you can prepare for your classes in advance and complete a significant portion of homework that does not require class kits.

  • Dye inks (we will share the list of inks used by our instructors)

Create & Connect classes will take place in the USA Central Time Zone between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM on February 21 and 22, using private YouTube links accessible only to registered attendees. We will send an invite to join our event Facebook group in the last week of January. All of the class videos will be available indefinitely on YouTube. 

***YOU MUST ANSWER THE ASKED QUESTIONS TO JOIN OUR PRIVATE FACEBOOK GROUP. We will only approve your request to join if ALL QUESTIONS ARE ANSWERED.

We highly recommend joining our private Facebook group, where you can share your projects with us and connect with all the instructors and fellow students. We also post all event-related announcements and updates in our private Facebook group. We hope this event fosters lasting connections and friendships among papercrafters from around the world. We cannot wait to create and connect with you!

***Classes for this event are live-streamed on YouTube, and we will have a private Facebook group for all the event fun. All the videos will be available to watch later.

The Pinkfresh Studio products in the kit that are marked EXCLUSIVE may or may not be released. We will not have a retail release of these products but in case we have any kits left then we might have a limited release on our site.
