Hello everyone! Kerstin here today with an new inspiration feat. the gorgeous LOVELY BLOOMS collection. Do you know what a Travelers Notebook is? It is a cover with rubber bands in which you can put small homemade notebooks (inserts). You can design your inserts however you like. I made a Travelers Notebook with 2 rubber bands for 2 notebooks. For the cover, I cut two of the beautiful Start Somewhere papers from the LOVELY BLOOMS 12 x 12 Paper Pack to 8 x 11 inches. I covered the flower side of one of the papers with book foil. I like to use book foil for things that I pick up over and over again. The book foil keeps the paper from getting dirty as quickly. I embroidered a few of the little flowers with thread. From two of the LOVELY BLOOMS Fabric Ephemera I made pins. For this I glued a small safety pin on the back of the Fabric Stickers with hot glue. One of the pins holds the ribbon to close the

I made the inside from the back of the Start Somewhere paper (I love this plaid green!) from the LOVELY BLOOMS 12 x 12 Paper Pack. In the center of the back I glued a 1 inch wide strip of cardstock. I punched 2 eyelets in the top and bottom and pulled a rubber through it, which then holds the booklets. I sewed both papers together with my sewing machine. The cover is already finished! Simple and fast - or?

The two booklets (inserts) have the finished size 5 x 6 3/4 inches. For the covers of the booklets I chose the papers The Best Day and Little Wins from the LOVELY BLOOMS 12 x 12 Paper Pack. I cut them to the size 10 x 6 3/4 and folded them in the middle. The pages are made of white cardstock the same size, folded in half and inserted into the cover. I trimmed off the excess paper with a ruler and craft knife. Deco must not be missing, of course! I have used the great LOVELY BLOOMS Puffy Alpha Stickers, LOVELY BLOOMS Puffy Stickers and the LOVELY BLOOMS Ephemera Pack. 

I'm going to show you some ideas of how I decorated one of the inserts.

On the right side, I cut a slit in a design paper with a craft knife so I can insert tags or photos. This paper I glued with liquid glue - only on the edges. On the left, I pasted one of the amazing envelopes from the LOVELY BLOOMS Journaling Bits. Here I can put small notes inside.

I designed this insert to have plenty of room for photos and journaling. The second insert has only white pages. Here I thought I can write down detailed notes / memories.
