The Best Day Mini-Album | Desiree
Hello crafty friends! I'm back today to share a fall accordion mini-album I made using "The Best Day Collection" from Pinkfresh Studio. I have to say I was excited to use this new collection with its fresh fall designs and colors.
I started my album by making the front and back covers. The covers were made using cardboard cut down to measure 12.5 cm by 4.25 cm.
Next, I covered the front and back covers with the "Hello Fall" patterned paper from the "The Best Day 6x6 Paper Pack". I love the bright green color of this paper and thought it was perfect for this album.
To embellish my cover, I used the Essentials Stitched Scalloped Square Die Set to cut a frame from the "Life's a Ride" 6x6 paper. I added this large floral die-cut and "Our Family" title to the top corner of the frame from "The Best Day Ephemera Pack". I love how these pieces made my cover stand out, without overcrowding it.
I lined my inner album covers with the mini beautiful "Welcome Home" 6x6 patterned paper. This paper was a lovely contrast to the outer paper.
Next, I cut the 6x6 striped paper down to about 17 cm by 7 cm to make the spine of the album. I folded the paper accordion style and connected it to the inside of the front and back cover. This is where I will insert my pages. I added one more strip of paper measuring 6 cm by 2 cm from "The Best Day 6x6 Paper Pack" over the accordion spine to keep the album from opening to wide. I placed cotton ribbon ties inside the front and back cover to keep the album closed.
To begin the inside of my album, I added this mustard coordinating envelope from "The Best Day Journaling Bits" to collect any fall extras. My inner album pages measured 11.75 cm by 9.25 cm. I made the pages a pinch smaller than the covers. I used this beautiful floral circle die-cut from "The Best Day Floral Ephemera Pack" on vellum paper for the first page of my album.
For my next couple of pages, I used more patterned papers from the 6x6 paper pack. I think the black and white floral paper called the "Love This Day" paper may be one of my favorites from the whole collection.
I used several puffy stickers, journaling bits, ephemera, and cardstock stickers from "The Best Day Collection" to adorn my pages. I made sure to leave space to add my future pictures.
To complete the inside of my album, I added a leftover strip of paper to make a pocket for future journaling bits or pictures. I decorated the pocket with the lovely floral basket, stamp, and label from the ephemera pack.
I love how this little mini-album turned out. The beautiful colors of this fall collection really inspired me. The 6x6 paper pack made this album design a breeze to put together. I can't wait to fill this album with my fall family memories.
Thank you so much for joining me today! I hope you get a chance to make you own mini-album with this new, wonderful collection.
