Hello crafty friends! It's Susi back on the Pinkfresh Studio blog. Today I'm sharing a new 12 x 12 scrapbook layout made with the awesome "Small butterflies layering Stencil Set" and "Small Butterflies die" from the latest June 2021 release.
I was inspired by this month's challenge. The theme is "Butterflies" and I really love it! You can find all the information about the challenge HERE.
First all, I stenciled a bunch of butterflies in four colors. pink, yellow, green and blue. The inks used are:
PINK: Ballet Slipper, Sparkling Rose, Bubble Gum.
YELLOW: Lemon Whip, Sunshine, Sweet mustard, Marigold
GREEN: Mint, Meadow, Emerald City
BLUE: Sky Blue, Summer Shower, Seaside, Storm
After the stenciling was done I cut all the butterflies using the coordinating die. Next, I picked a 12 x 12 white cardstock and draw a rainbow using a pencil. I used pink, yellow, green and blue thread to stitch the rainbow. Next, I arranged all the small butterflies using the tone-on-tone technique.
To create the title I used the Puffy Alpha Stickers from Happy blooms collection and also alphabets from old collections.
I layered my photo with patterned papers from Happy Blooms collection and I decorated it with a floral Ephemera from the collection.
I finished off adding splatters in the same colors of the rainbow. I mixed inks with water to do it. Lastly, I added touches of color with the enamel dots.
I really loved creating this layout and I hope it brings you some inspiration. Thanks so much for stopping by!
