Mixed-media, fussy cutting and layering with Anett (Celebrate collection)

Hello everyone! Anett here with you on the blog today. I was playing with Celebrate collection and some lovely papers I did not use yet. I always loved the 'Life' paper with the big, painted flower wreath. Just beautiful! I fussy cut the whole wreath, but did not want to use it in a wreath, circle form, so I cut it in three and arranged it on the paper in a V form.
I have a process video on You Tube, where you can see, that first I prepped my white cardstock with gesso, as I had watercolor in my mind, but I quickly changed it to ink blending. I often do quick decisions, change my mind all the time lol.
So I ink blended on the background, behind the flowers and my photo. Of course some watercolor splatters are must have details. I raised my wreath with foam tape and tucked fussy cut floral elements under it. I fussy cut lovely flowers from the 'Good Times' paper. In my video I give tips how to layer florals, that look more organic and full of life.
I did not stop there, I added more medium to the page, like tiny beads, stamping with little branch stamp from Oval Foliage Wreath stamp set, and small flower stamp from Lovely Blossoms stamp set, heat embossing with gold, applying glacier paste over the background and some flowers and leaves and as finishing touch, splattering with gold paint.
It is a bit different than you are used to see from me, but sometimes it is such fun to get a bit messy and try different techniques on a layout.
Did you read the whole post? Wow, you are such a queen!
Happy New Year, Anett
