Let's get inspired with Just A Little Lovely | Nathalie DeSousa
Hello everyone!
Nathalie with you today bringing you a bit of Just A Little Lovely inspiration. All the watercolor work on the designs, plus the beautiful illustrations are just perfect to create soft and beautiful pages filled with your memories.
For my first page, i wanted to take advantage of the new Pinkfresh Studio Cutfiles (available soon) and Liquid Watercolors to create a layout all about my husband.
The new Pinkfresh Studio cut files (available soon) were designed to coordinate with the collections. For this page, i chose to isolate the floral clusters of the frame cut file and cut them from white cardstock in different sizes. Only the flowers of the cut out were backed with papers from the collection.
To create the background of this page, i carefully fussy cut the floral edge of the Hope paper and then attached it to a piece of white cardstock. Here, a layer of white acrylic paint was added to the background followed by splashes of Liquid Watercolor -i made sure to combine the watercolor to suit the colors in the papers-.
Assembling the page took no time. First, i glued the cut outs along the fussy cut edge of the paper. A few pieces of the collection's paper were used as layers behind the picture, and this was nestled between the cut outs. With so many embellishments to chose from,it was so easy to add small accents around the page.
All that was left was to add a title ( the alphas and puffy word stickers in the Just Lovely collection are amazing!!!) and some journal lines. Here is a video that will show you how it all came together:
The combination of the liquid watercolor, the cut files and the Just A Little Lovely collection make the picture just shine in this page.
For my second project, i combined all the beautiful illustrations from the collection with the Watercolor Fantasy washi tape to create a page all about our baby, Poochie.
To have the illustrations pop in this page, i chose a soft non-white color for the background (soft blush). A bit of white acrylic paint was added to the background so that it softens the background followed by splatter of Licorice liquid watercolor.
First i glued strips of the b-side of the Hope paper (leftover from my previous project). I chose to add a bit of the Watercolor Fantasy washi tape to the sides of the strips,so that they give the illusion of layers and help bring the color of the illustrations together. These were all secured with a bit of machine stitching.
The Just a Little Lovely floral designs are a dream to fussy cut, so i cut a few of them from the Around Here and One Fine Day paper. Once i backed the pictures with pieces from the New Day and Story papers, i started gluing the flowers so that they form a "C" around the paper strip and picture in the page.
Just a few embellishments were added along the flower clusters - i might need more of those word strip stickers-. For the title, i mixed the mini alpha stickers with one of the puffy word stickers. A few enamel dots just complete this page. The following video will show you how this came together:
I hope these have inspired you to check the Just A Little Lovely collection. The soft colors and beautiful designs are just perfect to create those special pages for your memories.
Thank you for stopping by!
