LAYOUT TO GO I KERSTIN SCHEIDLER
Hello Pinkfresh Studio Fans! Kerstin here today with a new inspiration. I'm a passionate 12 x 12 layout scrapper. BUT - 12 x 12 layouts are not easy to store. So I thought I would make a LAYOUT TO GO. This is the name my daughter came up with. I think it is fitting! Because, I have a layout hidden in a 6 1/4 x 6 1/4 inch cover. Are you curious?
Let's get started!
Here you can see the cover where the 12 x 12 layout is hidden. For this project I mixed the wonderful collections SPRING VIBES, CHRYSANTHEMUM and FLOWER MARKET. All three match each other in colors and patterns. For the title I chose the fantastic JEFF ALPHA DIE. I added a few jewels in BALLET SLIPPER and STARGAZER to the title.
The base for this LAYOUT TO GO is white cardstock measuring 12 x 12 inches. It is folded - horizontally, vertically and crosswise. Then cut the bottom center of the fold to the middle with scissors. You can see it in the photo!
I cut white 12 x 12 cardstock into 4 squares measuring 6 x 6 inches. I decorated these 4 squares with the amazing collections SPRING VIBES, FLOWER MARKET and CHRYSANTHEMUM.
I chose the amazing NESTED ARCHES DIE as the basic shape and punched out two with the "third" Die size for each paper. The shapes I have laid out each to the center on a square. As you can see in the two photos, I decorated with various embellishments, such as CHRYSANTHEMUM Ephemera Pack, SPRING VIBES Cardstock Stickers or SPRING VIBES Chipboard Frames.
In these photos you can see that I also punched out my photo with the NESTED ARCHES DIE. Again, I centered the shapes to the two squares. For my decoration I used the SPRING VIBES Mini Alpha Stickers, CHRYSANTHEMUM Chipboard Flair and also SPRING VIBES Enamel Dots and CHYSANTHEMUM Enamel Dots.
Above I described and showed you the photo of how to fold and cut the white 12 x 12 cardstock.
The decorated squares will now glued to the white cardstock. The glue is applied to each of the marked areas. The decorated squares are glued "in half".
Now fold each of the squares away from the top so that they lie on top of each other at the end.
As a closure I have attached a thin elastic with eyelets in the back. Cover front and back I have connected with a design paper from the SPRING VIBES 12 x 12 Paper Pack. The LAYOUT TO GO on top of each other is now glued to the back cover.
I'll show you a few more impressions of how the LAYOUT TO GO looks unfolded in individual steps.
I hope you like this idea for a LAYOUT TO GO. This is a great way to store layouts or give them as gifts!
On the Pinkfresh Studio Instagram account you can find a reel to my explanations (which are hopefully understandable!!).
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you're now inspired to get started with one of these great collections right away!
See you next time!

This is fantastic!! So very clever, I can’t wait to give it a go! My young kids will think that’s a fantastic little “album” for them to keep and play with in their rooms. Thanks! Do more out of the ordinary layouts like this one!!
