Layout Love by Ashley
There's a lot to love about the collections from Pinkfresh Studio, and today I'm sharing two new layouts with a couple of my favorite collections! For my first layout, I used the A Case of the Blahs collection and on my second layout, I used the Let Your Heart Decide collection. I combined the awesome patterned papers and embellishments from both collections with a couple of cut files to complete the look on my layouts.
We went to Disney World in April, and I had some pretty funny photos of the family on the rides. My husband has taught the kids how to look for the camera on the roller coaster, so we usually end up with some hilarious photos. I thought the A Case of Blahs collection would go perfectly with this photo from Rock 'n' Roller Coaster.
I created a fun background with the Blah patterned paper and a star shaped cut file. I added the star shapes to the Awkward patterned paper and then stitched through each one. Once I had the background finished, I placed the photo and my title in the center of the layout. I used the Losing My Mind piece from the Ephemera Pack for the title.
I finished the layout by mixing several of the embellishments and scattering them on the background paper. I also created a cluster at the top and bottom of the page to give the layout a good balance.
On my second layout, I went with more of a "girly" look. I decided to use a selfie, since I don't take many of those! I used the Let Your Heart Decide patterned papers to create some pretty florals for the layout.
I added some machine stitching to the die cut floral design for some extra texture on the layout. Then I cut three smaller flowers and layered them over the larger flower cut file. I wanted to keep everything layered over the flowers in the background, so next I placed my photo in the center.
Next, I used the Puffy Alpha Stickers for my title. I love mixing the colors of the letters, when I'm creating a long title. To complete the layout, I created three embellishment clusters to form a visual triangle. And for a final touch, I cut a frame from the Whim patterned paper to add around the edge of the White card stock background.
