Holiday Vibes Layout Inspiration | Kathleen Graumüller
Hey friends! It's Kathleen with you again and today I have two layouts made with the beautiful Holiday Vibes collection for you. What I love about this collection, is that it can easily be used for both Christmas-themed but also for any Winter-themed projects. So I thought I would create one of each for today :)
For the first layout I used a more winter-y color scheme with lots of white and some pops of red, and light and dark blue. And of course I had to add in some gold too to give it some sparkle and shine.
The photo I used was taken last year on a walk I took with my husband and our dog when it had just snowed for hours, so I really wanted to have that winter wonderland feel conveyed on my page, too.
I used white cardstock for the base of my layout, and also cut half a snowflake wreath (Cutfile ID #238513) and some single snowflakes to layer on top (Design ID #38815 and #52450) from some white cardstock.
I then used some of the adorable die cuts from the ephemera pack (I love those mittens!) to layer them in between. The enamel dots, epoxy stickers and wood epoxy buttons made for perfect little accents in the center of some of the snowflakes and around the (half) wreath.
For the title I used a mix of the Holiday Vibes dipped wood alpha stickers and the golden alpha stickers from Indigo Hills 2.
The next layout features a more traditional Christmas color scheme with red and green and some bits of gold. Normally I struggle a bit with those colors, so having a lot of white space on my layout helped to make it feel more "me".
The circle design of this page was inspired by the "add more sparkle" sticker from the chipboard stickers, so I also cut my photo into a circle and added more round emebellishments across the page to repeat the circle theme. I used a mix of enamel dots, epoxy stickers, wood epoxy buttons and ephemera.
For my title I used another cutfile (Design ID #163531, but you could easily use a font in your design software to create your own) to cut the word "sparkle", once from the Magical Forest paper and once from white cardstock. I used the white word to layer behind the red one to create a drop shadow effect. Oh, and the socks hanging from a branch from the puffy stickers were perfect to add to my title. Aren't they supercute?
To finish the page off, I framed the white cardstock with the Love and Peace paper (I love that dark green pattern!), added some golden machine stitching around the page and of course some gold paint splatters.
I am really happy with how both layouts turned out, especially the second one since I usually struggle with using those colors. I hope they inspire you to create with the gorgeous Holiday Vibes collection and try one (or both) of the color schemes I used.
Thanks a lot for stopping by! Have a great day!
