Hello everyone! I'm so excited to be back on the blog today sharing a Halloween inspired layout featuring the adorable Boo Ville collection from Pinkfresh Studio. For this 12 x 12 layout, my starting point was one of the beautiful die cuts included in the collection. I fell in love with the floral spider web embellishment and it inspired the entire design. I extended the web across the page using hand stitching ,turning it into the main feature of the layout. From there, I created a fun cluster around my photo with pumpkins, flowers an lots of cute Halloween details.

Step by Step

1. Create the Stitched spider web. Start by placing the floral spider web die cut in the upper left corner of your background. Use it as a guide to lightly draw the rest of the spider web with a pencil, then pierce the stitching holes and hand stitch the entire design. This gives it lots of texture.
2. Build the main photo cluster. Place your phot on the right side of the page and begin creating a cluster around it using pumpkins, flowers, labels and embellishments from the collection. Layer the pieces with foam adhesive to add dimension.
3. Add Rub-On details. Apply the spider web rub-ons next to the photo cluster and again in the upper right corner of the layout. These subtle details help balance the composition and visually connect both sides of the page.
4. Finish the embellishing. Scatter the small spider die cuts around the stitched web to bring it to life. Add a few extra embellishments, enamel dots and tiny stars until you're happy with it. Add the title and your layout will be finished.
