Hello crafty friends! Susi here, back on the Pinkfresh Studio blog with a new 12 x 12 scrapbook layout created using the Lovely Lane collection. For this project, I was inspired by the Beautiful Journey patterned paper (side B). The diamond pattern on this paper immediately caught eye and invited me to create a geometric background with multiple layered clusters.

Step-by-Step Instructions
- Cut the diamond shapes. Fussy-cut several diamonds from the Beautiful Journey patterned paper. I used one large diamond for the central composition and two smaller diamonds for the top and bottom clusters.
- Split and layer the diamonds. Cut each diamond in half and slightly overlap the two halves to create layered diamonds shapes with extra interest and dimension.
- Build the main composition. Place the largest diamond in the center of the page and place the smaller diamonds above and below it to create a strong vertical design.
- Prepare de embellishments. Fussy-cut florals from the Smiles & Laughter and Love Blooms papers, and branches from the Happy Together paper. Cut additional small diamonds from the Through my Lens paper and add them at the intersections of the diamonds. If fussy-cutting isn't your favorite technique, you can also use Floral Ephemera, Puffy Stickers and others embellishments from the collection.
- Decorate using the tone-on-tone. Create floral clusters on each diamond using a tone-on-tone approach to keep the design cohesive and elegant.
- Add the photo. place your photo under the central diamond to create a focal point in the middle of the layout.
- Title and final touches. Create your title using the Puffy Alphas from the collection. Add final details with Enamel Dots and hearts from the Hearts and Stars Ephemera pack.

Quick Tip
Add different thicknesses of foam adhesive under the diamonds and florals to create depth and shadows. It will make your geometric design feel more dynamic and layered.
I hope this project inspires you to experiment with geometric shapes and layered clusters in your scrapbook pages. Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Susi
