Floral Layout | Susi Becerra
Hello crafty friends! It's Susi here today sharing a new layout with you. This time I wanted to play with stamps and dies, so I chose the beautiful "Lovely blossoms" and "Wild flower Sketches" stamp sets and coordinating dies.
May is month of flowers and the spring is my favorite season so I wanted to capture both in my layout.
To begin this layout I stamped a variety of leaves and branches on white cardstock. I chose cool tones of green and pink from Ink cubes. I used the following colors:
Next, I die cut all the leaves and branches from my white cardstock. I also die cut more branches using the "Leafy branch die", my favorite die for ever.
I created a soft background using green ink and pink acrylic paint mixed with water and I added splatters using a brush. Next, I stamped on my background more leaves and branches. My idea was to create a bouquet of flowers, so I placed my photo and a card from Keeping It Real collection on the center of the page and scattered all the elements around them.
I glued everything down, then it was time to play with all the different layers and embellishments. I added elements from the Floral Ephemera Pack using foam adhesive to give more dimension. I fussy cut some of the amazing and tiny flowers in the Deep Breath patterned paper. For the title I used the beautiful Alphabet Sticker from the collection. I added in pink color of tangled thread in a few areas for even more texture
To create the bow I used a pink paper from an old collection and using a pencil I curved it. On top I added a floral die cut. I used a butterfly punch to punch three little butterflies which I glued using foam adhesive. Finally I hand stitching the loops with white thread.
To finish I added a touch of sparkle by gluing down with liquid glue some jewels from Essentials: Jewels Mix. I certainly loved creating this layout and I hope it brings you some inspiration. Thanks so much for stopping by!
Stay safe and have a great day!
