Envelope Mini Album | Susi Becerra

Envelope Mini Album | Susi Becerra

21 Apr 2021 0 Comments

Hello Pinkfresh Studio friends! It's Susi here today to share with you this spring-themed mini album I created using the Keeping It Real and Some Days collections.I thought a floral mini album would be perfect way to document all the spring memories.

The base of the mini was created using a white cardstock. I started by cutting a 3 5/8 '' x 11 1/2 '' strip from the cardstock. I then scored along the 11 1/2 " side at 4 1/2  inches and 7 inches. After that I used the beautiful This Week paper from Some Days collection to decorate the base of mini album and I used the side B of Make Lemonade paper to cover the inside. After that I stitched the base of the mini using my sewing machine.

For the pages of album I created envelopes using the following papers:

-Make Lemonade  (Some days collection)

-Daily Grind (side b) (Keeping It Real)

- This week (Keeping it Real)

-One More Cup (Some Days)

-Real Life (Keeping it Real)

-Adulting (side b) (Keeping it Real)

I also stitched around the envelopes to add more texture. Next, I worked on the binding of the album. I chose to use six strands of thread in alterning colors of white, green and orange. I tied the envelopes (before closing them) to the spine, making sure the knots were tight and cut off any excess thread.

To decorate the mini I started with the spine. I fussy cut florals elements from This Week paper and I arranged and glued them in the spine of the mini. I used foam adhesive to give it dimension.

For the cover I made an envelope using This Week paper and added a bow I created. I finished off the cover with the cute stickers Mini Alpha from Keeping It Real collection.

Then i moved on  to the inside envelopes. To embellish the inside of this mini album I used tons of the beautiful bits from the Pinkfresh collections.I started with the floral elements pack from Some Days collection. I just love florals! To keep closed the envelope I used a chipboard flair from the collection.

I decorated the backs of the envelopes using photos and die cuts from the collections. Inside the envelopes there are more photos and cards, die cuts and my journaling.

Below the photos of the inside of the mini album.
