Creating with Washi Tape & Cut Files | Ashley Horton

Creating with Washi Tape & Cut Files | Ashley Horton

Hello friends!  It's Ashley, and today I'm here to share two new layouts with you.  I love that in addition to the gorgeous collections from Pinkfresh Studio, you can also find amazing Washi Tape designs and PF Studio Cut Files.

I started my first layout with the Adorable Frames Washi Tape and the Just a Little Lovely collection.  I cut three of the frames from the roll and adhered them to white cardstock.  Next, I fussy cut around each of the frames.

Once the frames were cut, I placed them in a grid design, with my photo, on the Highlight patterned paper.  I wanted some dimension on the layout, so I used foam behind the frame on the top left and behind my photo.

With the frames in place, I had perfect spots for all of my embellishing.  I used the top frame to add my title, using the Puffy Phrase Stickers.  Then I added some of the Ephemera Pieces and pieces from the Mixed Embellishment Pack to the other two frames.

I finished the layout with some flower clusters around the top frame and my photo.  I really like the balance the clusters added to the layout.

On my second layout, I used the Office Hours collection and one of the fun Cut Files that are now available in the Pinkfresh Studio Store.

I cut the Stack of Books Cut File from the Prioritize patterned paper and layered it over one of the other patterned papers in the collection.  I decided to leave the cut file unbacked, because I wanted to layer my photo and embellishments over it for interest.

I wanted to use a black & white photo to add contrast with the colors from the collection, and I placed it at the bottom of the cut file.  I love to layer around my photo, so I chose several embellishments from the collection that would draw your eye to the photo.

The Puffy Alpha Stickers were perfect for adding my title.  And I love the way it fit right into the top book.  I completed the layout, by adding several other embellishments in a visual triangle, to help guide the eye around the layout.

I hope you've been inspired by my layouts today, and found some fun ideas for using the Pinkfresh Washi Tapes and cut files on your upcoming projects!  Thanks for stopping by today!
