Be You Layout Inspiration | Kathleen Graumüller

Be You Layout Inspiration | Kathleen Graumüller

Hey Pinkfresh Studio fans :) It's Kathleen here again and today I have two layouts using the gorgeous "Be You" collection for you.

Both layouts were rather quick and easy although the first one definitely looks a little bit more "elaborate" but you will see what I mean in a second.

One of the elements I love most about the Be You collection are the floral and botanical elements! I absolutely love flowers and plants and simply can't live without them, so our home is filled with lots of different plants and I try to have fresh flowers at home as often as I can - I call myself the Crazy Plantlady for a reason, haha.

So for my first layout I went all in with that theme and used almost all of the leaves and sprigs that were included in the ephemera pack, the chipboard stickers and the puffy sticker sheet. I layered all the pieces I had picked out behind my photo and tried to mix the different textures and heights to add some more interest and dimension to my layout.

As you can see, the colours of the die cuts and stickers matched those in my photo perfectly. I didn't add any of the red leaves from the ephemera pack and only used a few of the rose gold ones because I didn't want to introduce too many more colours. But you will see these pieces make an appearance on my second layout.

Because all of those elements around my photo were alreasy quite busy, I didn't add much more to my layout. Only a second smaller embellishment cluster in the lower left corner and a thin patterned paper border on the lower and right edge of the page. I also used my new favourite hand punch to get this torn notebook edge look on my white cardstock - I love it!

To finish my page off, I added some paint splatters and a little bit of stamping. For the hearts I used the Playful Animal Friends 1 stamp set - I LOVE all the cute little shapes and patterns that are in the stamp set!

Now on to my second layout. For that one I almost exclusively used "leftovers". The paper strip on the right was sth. I had left from another layout, as well as the heart that I die cut from the Brave paper (I made a lot of hearts for this LO and had one left) and the floral die cuts that didn't make it onto my first layout.

The photo was also salvaged from a layout that didn't make the cut and got "purged" (yes, I go through my albums of layouts from time to time and all those that I don't really like anymore will be taken apart).

I did add in those super cute wood & epoxy buttons, some paint splatters, a leatherette tag, a cute little tassel bow and the title. This time I used the Playful Animal Friends 2 stamp set to add some small stamped flowers and the "you are one of a kind" sentiment below my title.

The layout is quite simple and was really quick to make (which wasn't my goal but it's always nice when a page comes together rather quickly, right?).

I like how they both turned out, although I like the first one even more because it's just so full of floral/botanical things :)

I hope you enjoyed today's projects and feel inspired to work with the Be You collection! Thanks for stopping by!

Kathleen
