Banner mini album | Else Huinink
Hello lovely Pinkfresh friends!
Today I'm sharing this fun banner mini album with you, made with the beautiful and cozy fall collection 'Days of Splendor'.
I started this project with a little cardboard box with a lid, which we didn't use anymore. I got the idea to make a mini album which would fit in this box. It measures approximately 3.5 x 4.5 x 1 inch.
I used the paper 'Simply magical' to cover the lid. I did not cover the bottom part of the box, because I was afraid that the lid wouldn't fit anymore.
I decorated the cover with a frame from the Stitched elements. I backed this frame with vellum. I placed a floral and the umbrella from the two ephemera packs on top, and I used the puffy alpha stickers for my title. Finally I used a few light blue jewels from the Essential jewels for some sparkle.
It is a small box, so this project couldn't be too bulky. The banner holds 13 pictures, mainly because of the interactive elements on the banners.
I created 7 seperate banners, which measure 4 x 2 6/8 inch. I cut these from the different patterned papers from the collection.
To fit all my picuters I created flaps, which you can fill up with picuters and embellishments.
This ocre yellow velvet ribbon from my stash adds texture and keeps this little flap closed. I punched two little holes in the banner and put this ribbon through.
The purple jewels match perfectly on this banner. I cut the white border around the floral elements a bit smaller.
I love creating pockets where you can put extra pictures in. With that velvet ribbon stapled to the pictures, you can get them out easily.
On the last banner I cut two pictures in a diagonal line, so they would fit.
I love how this turned out, even though it's not my usual format for a mini album. I'm going to put this banner up on our wall for this fall season!
I hope you're inspired to create your fun project today, and be sure to share it with us! Have a lovely day, XO Else
