A Festive Christmas Garland

Hello everyone, I’m Eva and today I’m sharing a new layout featuring the lovely Festive Fun collection by Pinkfresh Studio!

For this layout, I wanted to create a playful Christmas garland that could move across the page and bring all the elements together. The colorful ornaments from one of the papers in this collection were perfect for this idea, especially because they come in so many different colors and patterns.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Cut several Christmas ornaments from the Sparkle & Shine paper from the Festive Fun collection.
Adhere a piece of twine to your page, creating gentle curves across the layout.
Arrange the fussy-cut ornaments along the twine, mixing different colors and patterns.
Attach the ornaments with 3D foam adhesive to add dimension.
Place your photo above one of the ornaments and add a few die cuts around it.
Add your title and a journaling spot to complete the main design.
Fussy cut leaves from the Good Cheer paper in the 6x6 paper pad and tuck them around the photo and garland.
Finish with a few enamel dots for small pops of color.

Tip: When creating a garland, varying the size, spacing, colors, and direction of the ornaments makes the design feel more natural and gives the eye plenty of places to wander across the page.
