2 layouts featuring the new My Favorite Story collection
Hello friends! How are you all doing? It's Jung here, and today I'm sharing 2 layout that I created with Pinkfresh Studio's new line: My Favorite Story.
For my first layout, I am documenting schoolwork at home while we social distancing. I am using a cutfile called Cool Backpack that you can check out in the cut files section on the Pinkfresh Studio website. This cutfile coordinates perfectly with Pinkfresh Studio's Super Cool collection, but it works great for my homeschool theme and the My Favorite Story collection as well.
I cut the Cool Backpack cutfile from dark blue cardstock using my silhouette machine, then I backed it with various pattern papers in the collection. I also added some machine stitching is a coordinating blue thread to add a little more texture to the cutfile.
I set that aside, and started working on my background. Since I was documenting school work, I thought it would be fun if I made a background with the alphabet. I used the Adore Alpha Stamp set from Pinkfresh Studio along with the Ballet Slippers ink pad on a piece of white cardstock to stamp my own alphabet background paper. I turned some of the letters sideways or upside down, and I made sure to stamp off the paper. (I also didn't bother stamping the middle of the paper since I knew I was going to cover it with the cutfile.)
Next, I adhered the cutfile with some thin foam squares. I backed my photos with pattern paper, then glued them on the layout. Next, I added the title, using the puffy alpha stickers, and my journaling.
I finished my layout with some embellishments. I used puffy stickers, some pieces from the ephemera pack, and enamel dots (my favorite).
I really love how this layout turned out, and I'm thrilled with the cutfile and my background.
For my second layout, I made a grid, which is one of my favorite layouts to make. Again, I used a piece of dark blue cardstock for my background. I added some white and gold splatters to the cardstock. While that was drying, I diecut my photo and 5 pieces of patten paper into squares using the Pinkfresh Studio Essentials Stitched squares die set.
I roughened up the edges of the squares, then adhered them to the layout using both double sided tape and foam squares for dimension.
I used the Love word from the puffy phrase stickers for my title. I embellished with a layered heart that I made, some ephemera pieces, stickers, and enamel dots.
I love how graphic and bold, yet simple this layout turned out.
I hope the I've inspired you to get crafty, and I hope you check out this fabulous collection. I also hope that you all are staying healthy and safe. Have a happy day friends!
