Mixing Collections - Two Layouts Using Felicity and Life Noted

Hello, my Pinkfresh friends! Carson here and I'm back today to share two layouts I've created by mixing some elements of both the Felicity and Life Noted collections. I've said it before, but I absolutely adore how well these collections can be used together.
In this first layout I really wanted to play up the soft purples in the picture and the Felicity collection was perfect for that, but the heavy contrast of the black alpha wasn't the right fit. However, the yellow alpha and soft pink acetate from the Life Noted collection were a match made in scrapbook heaven for a soft but bold title.
I adore this patterned paper, especially for a sping theme and I absolutely love that I could carry the elements from the paper onto the photo using all the wonderful puffy stickers from the Felicity Collection.
I chose not to do my own journaling for this layout, which is not something I normally do, but I thought the die-cut words and title were enough to really get the point across. I think when an image speaks for itself, sometimes too much journaling and explanation can detract from the feeling of the layout.
Spring is my absolute favorite time of year and I think the Felicity collection captures the feeling of spring beautifully !
For my second layout today I brought things inside, and into a warmer, more cozy color palette. I captured this image of my husband reading stories to the kiddos before bed. This is one of my favorite times of day and this image just brings up all the feels for me.
I wanted to keep my colors pretty uniform on this layout and so I used all the pink and red pieces I could find in the Life Noted Collection. The Yellow alphas and pastel acetate words just didn't match the look I was going for but this time the black alpha from Felicity was just the ticket.
Because of the high contrast with the black and red I was able to play quite a bit with the stamp sets in this layout, especially the Bookworm set designed by Kaitlin Schaeffer. The set is awesome and was absolutely made for the theme of my layout. I also love that the phrases worked well with the label set also designed by Kaitlin. I'm a self professed label junkie, they are magic!
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you're inspired to use all your Pinkfresh goodies and to record your most precious memories.
