A Mini and a Layout Using Life Noted with Carson

A Mini and a Layout Using Life Noted with Carson

Hello again my lovely Pinkfresh friends!  Carson here today to share two fun and fresh projects with you using the gorgeous Life Noted Collection.

I wanted to mix it up this month and take a little break from the Project Life layouts I've been sharing, so I decided to make a 3x4 accordion mini album for my mother in law who is going through some rough medical stuff at the moment.  She and my oldest son have a beautiful relationship and so I thought it best if I made her a mini full of reasons why he loves her so.

I sat him down at the breakfast table and asked him to tell us everything he loves most about his Grammy.  He came up with quite an extensive list and I narrowed and paraphrased when I added the typewritten journaling to the album.

The Life Noted Collection is a perfect match for a small mini such as this one, and it was so quick and easy to put together using the patterned papers and journal cards from the collection. A few strips of washi, some acetate words, and a couple of those fabulous rubber embellishments made the whole mini come together quickly and beautifully.

At this small size I hope she will be able to carry it with her and pop it out whenever she needs a little reminder of how much she is loved!

For my second project this month I made a layout of my son and his new favorite pastime , photography.

He has a kids camera that he has been using for the past few months to snap pictures of the TV, his brothers feet, and his mother's double chins, but ever since a few weeks ago, he has been taking it outside on our walks to capture all the natural beauty blooming around us.

This layout began to come together after I started cutting apart the colorful square patterned paper from Life Noted.  I liked the way the printed word squares and colorful symbol squares looked stacked on top of one another.  With those cut I just started to move them around the page and picture and the layout came to life.

No layout from this collection will ever be complete without those acetate words, which are decidedly my most favorite embellishment of all time, I'm giving them MVP status.  With the help of the washi and the fabulous Life Noted stamp set, I was able to forgo journaling on this layout as all the great words and phrases told the story quite well.

I had a lot of fun creating with Life Noted this month and was feeling rather sad that I'm making a considerable dent in these gorgeous supplies.  Happy spring crafting friends, see you all again soon!
