You Are My Favorite Slimline Card┃Yasmin Diaz

Happy Tuesday, Pinkfresh friends! Yasmin here sharing with you a “No-Line” slimline-Floral card made using You Are My Favorite Coordinating Die Set and You Are My Favorite Coordinating Stencil Set. Along with this beautiful set, I’m also using Argyle Layering Stencil Set, Slim Diagonal Stitched Rectangles Die Set, Essentials: Basic Label Frames Die Set, Floral Notes Stamp Set and of course PFS- Inks. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step on how I made it.

To begin with, I started by lining up over a large piece of white cardstock the die from You Are My Favorite Coordinating Die Set. Therefore, once I’ve had them both line up, I’ve gone ahead to run them thru my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine.

Thus, after I’ve finished die-cutting the image, I’ve gone ahead to line up the stencil with the solid images from You Are My Favorite Coordinating Stencil Set and once I’ve had it lined up, I’ve gone ahead to ink up some of the flowers using 2 small brushes with Soft Lilac Ink and Peach Fuzz Ink. Next, I’ve lined up the second stencil with the detailed images over the die-cutting piece and, I’ve continued the inking using Coral Reef Ink and Candy Violet Ink. Lastly, I’ve removed the stencil and I’ve gone ahead to line up the stencil with the leaves images therefore, I’ve gone ahead to get the leaves ink up with Olive Ink.

Moving on, after I’ve had finished inking it up the floral piece, I’ve gone ahead to set it off to the side so, I could make the card panel for the card. Therefore, to do that I’ve gone ahead to quickly watercolor a slimline card panel in a gradient way using Stargazer Re-Inker. Thus, after I’ve had finished water-coloring the card panel and it was completely dry, I’ve gone ahead to line up over it the detailed stencil from Argyle Layering Stencil Set and I’ve gone ahead to ink it up using once again Stargazer Ink for a tone on tone look. Lastly, I’ve gone ahead to remove the first stencil and, I’ve gone to line up the stencil with the solid images from the same set over the card panel. However, to add bit of texture, I’ve gone ahead to ink up the solid images with Embossing Ink and then, after I’ve had finished inking it up, I’ve gone ahead to get the sticky surface heat embossed with Clear Gloss embossing powder.

Then, right after that I’ve had finished the heat embossing step, I’ve gone ahead to line up over the card panel the largest die from Slim Diagonal Stitched Rectangles Die Set and once I’ve had them both line up, I’ve gone ahead to run them thru the die-cutting machine adding that way the stitching detail to the frame.

Finally, after I’ve had finished die-cutting the frame, I’ve gone ahead to mount it with craft foam tape to a slimline white card base. Next, I’ve gone ahead to mount also with craft foam tape the floral inked piece to the card. Last but certainly not least, I’ve gone ahead to mount the layered sentiment which I’ve had previously stamp on a water-colored piece of cardstock and layered over translucent vellum. By the way for the sentiment, I’ve used one of the sentiments from Floral Notes Stamp Set along with one of the label dies from Essentials: Basic Label Frames Die Set and Detailed Black Ink.

Then, as a finishing touch, I’ve gone ahead to glue down here and there with liquid glue some of the purple jewels from Essentials: Jewel Mix adding that way an extra touch of sparkle! And, with that being said, thank you for stopping by we hope you have enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this “No-Line” slimline-Floral card made using and array of beautiful products by Pinkfresh.
