Hello friends! It's Rachel here with a page-turning card featuring the beautiful new Floral Tale product suite along with some newly released textured background dies.

When I have the free time, one of my favorite things to do is to sit down with a good book.  I was inspired by the idea of turning the pages of a book for my card today and added a fun little flip page that hides a second sentiment on the inside of the book.

How to recreate this card:

1.  Trim a piece of white card stock to 4.25" x 11" and score it at 5.5" along the 11" side to create a top-folding, vertical card base.

2. Die cut a piece of medium blue card stock with the Diamond Delight Coverplate Die and layer it on top of the white card base from step one.

3.  Die cut a piece of ocean blue card stock with the Modern Mosaic Coverplate Die and layer this piece on top of the last two pieces from steps 1 and 2.

4.  Use the Floral Tale Stencils to ink blend a book and some florals onto a piece of smooth white card stock.  (I used Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock.)

• Stencil 1: Misty Coast
• Stencil 2: Misty Coast (Top Stencil) / None (Bottom Stencil)
• Stencil 3: None (Top Stencil) / Ocean Breeze (Bottom Stencil)
• Stencil 4: Aquamarine
• Stencil 5: Atlantis
• Stencil 6: Fresh Pear

5. Use the coordinating Floral Tale Dies to die cut the ink-blended images.   

6.  Die cut another book from white card stock (no ink blending needed), and fussy cut the embossed edges around the book so that you just have the inner part of the book left.

7.  Adhere the left page portion of this book to the first book, allowing the right page to open back and forth freely.

8. Add florals and foliage around the book.  (I used the florals that come with the Foral Tales set as well as some foliage from the previously released Fresh Florals Die Set.

9.  Add whatever sentiments (or hand-written note) you desire to the inside and outer pages of the book to finish. 

TIP: If you are stamping your sentiments, this should be done prior to assembling the book and/or adhering it to your card base.  

I had so much fun making this card today and hope you enjoyed  it!  The background dies that I used on my card today are so versatile and eye-catching and go beautifully with almost anything!
