Happy Friday, Pinkfresh friends! Yasmin here sharing a whimsical and dimensional inspiration card with a “Terrarium” look using the Terrarium Die, The Magic is in You Stencil, The Magic is in You Die, Summer Blooms Stencil, and Summer Blooms Die to add the shaped and whimsical look. Also, to make this card, I used the Handpicked Flowers Stamp and the Handpicked Flowers Die to add the card sentiments. Besides, to add the extra details for the card, I used Cloud Builder Stencil and Arch Backdrop Die to build the cloudy sky details and to create the frame for the card front. So, without further ado, let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it.

Therefore, I started by getting the die-cutting steps to make the shaped card base, so to do that, I used the Terrarium Die with a few pieces of white cardstock and the die-cut machine to cut out seven die-cutting pieces. Next, I used extra pieces of white cardstock and the same die, but this time, I also used the Arch Backdrop Die to cut out the center part to create the frame for the card’s front. 

Then, to keep going with the die-cutting steps, I used the base die to cut out a few die-cutting pieces from white cardstock and a few more out of gold cardstock. Thus, after I had finished the cutting steps for the die-cutting elements for the card base, I set them aside, and then I went ahead to continue with the layered stenciling steps over two A2-size white card panels.

So, for the layered stenciling, I used the stencils included in The Magic is in You Stencil set along with a few ink blending brushes and a combination of some of the smaller brushes from the 1/2 Blending Brush Set and the 1/4 Blending Brush Set to add shadowy effects to each image. As for the ink hues, I used Coral Reef Ink and Warm Buff Ink for the mushrooms. Then, Olive Ink and Evergreen Ink for the leaves. By the way, I would like to mention that I did this step three times to get duplicated images for all four panels of the tri-fold and shaped card embellished. Then, to keep going with the layered stenciling, I used the stencils included in the Summer Blooms Stencil, and for the ink hues, I used the same ink hues that I used with the other stencil set plus Clementine Ink and Marigold Ink for the sun. 

Thus, as soon as I finished getting the layered stenciling done, I put the inked panels aside to let the inks soak into the cardstock. Meanwhile, I used the paper trimmer and a piece of white cardstock to trim down two smaller pieces to H 2.0 x W 1.0 inches. Next, I placed one of the small cardstock pieces with the 2 inches vertically over the scoring board tool, and then I used the Teflon bone folder to add two scoring lines at 3/8 and 5/8 of the inch. Then, I repeated the same steps for the cardstock piece, and once I had finished adding the scoring lines, I used the Teflon bone folder to get the scoring line folded over. So, to get the card's base assembled, I used the smaller pieces as hinges to attach the tri-fold card base. Thus, I got them glued down to the inner sides of the right and left side panels making sure they were in the same direction and height (as shown in the image above.) Nevertheless, after I had finished the tri-fold card base assembled, I moved on to use The Magic is in You Die and the Summer Blooms Die to die-cut the inked images from the card panels.

Once, I had finished the die-cutting step for the inked images, I put them aside, and then I used an ink blending brush along with the stencils included in the Cloud Builder Stencil and Ocean Breeze Ink to add some clouds to three of the Terrarium-shaped panels. So, after I had finished adding the cloudy sky to the shaped panels, I used some of the images to get one of the panels embellished with the die-cutting images. Then, as soon as I got that done, I got the backing of it glued to the inner left side of the tri-fold card base. 

Soon after, to keep going with the card embellishment, I used one of the shaped panels to get it embellished with more of the die-cutting images, and then I got the backing of it glued to the inner right side of the tri-fold card base.

So, after I got the inner right and left sides of the tri-fold card base embellished, I finished the inside of the card base by getting the gold bases glued to the bottom parts. And, with that said, that is what the inner part of the card looks like. By the way, I left the inner-center part of the card base plain white to have a place to write a personal message.

To keep going, I got another of the terrarium-shaped panels embellished with some of the images. However, I used one of the panels without any inked clouds to keep it clean and simple by adding a card sentiment over the layered images.

So, after getting the plain white shaped panel, I got the right flap of the card closed, and then I got the backside of the embellished card panel glued to the front part of the closed right flap.

Last but certainly not least, I opened the right flap of the card and closed the left flap to get the front of the card embellished. So, I used the last card panel with the inked clouds, but this time I added a dimensional look by getting the white frame adhered to a piece of acetate for a glass look and then by adding craft foam adhesive to its backside to raise dimension.

Thus, after getting that done, I got the front of the dimensional panel embellished with the rest of the die-cutting images, and then I got the backing of it glued to the front part of the left flap.

Lastly, I added dimension to the gold base by adding some of the extra die-cutting pieces; then, I added the dimensional base to the bottom part.

In the image above, you can see how dimensional this card is due to the extra dimension in the base and the 2/8 of an inch space created on each hinge. However, you can skip the extra-dimensional step by scoring the smaller cardstock pieces in half without leaving the 2/8-inch space.

Anyway, to give you a closer look, this is how the back of the card looks when fully opened. As you can see, I left the back side plain white, just like I did in the inner center part, to have a space to stamp my name.

Also, I want to show you how the card looks when standing up. By the way, you can take a step further by adding an extra flap either to the right or to the left side for a 360 design.

Nevertheless, to finish the card, I added the card sentiment to the lower right side of the card. By the way, I used one of the card sentiments included in the Handpicked Flowers Stamp to get it stamped and gold heat embossing on a piece of white cardstock using embossing ink and gold embossing powder. Then, I used the coordinating die included in the Handpicked Flowers Die to cut out the sentiment from the cardstock. As you can see, I also got the card sentiment die-cut out from extra pieces of white cardstock to add dimension and out gold cardstock to add a gold shadow. 

Lastly, I used another sentiment from the same stamp set to get it stamped and heat embossed over another piece of white cardstock. Then, after getting that done, I got it trimmed down on a strip form, and then I got it glued to the upper center of the center panel.
