Hi, Pinkfresh friends! Hope you’re having a great week so far! It’s TaeEun here today with a shaker card made using Shaker Stars die set and Butterflies stamp, layering stencil and die sets. For the background I used the Pop Out Nested Chevron stamp set.

 I started off by stamping the Nested Chevron background in blue to green ombre fashion : the Inks used are Slumber (top), Sky Blue, Ocean Breeze, Mint, Fresh Pear, Key Lime and Meadow (bottom). I cut the stamped panel with a Stitched Rectangles die and cut three stars from the panel using the Shaker Stars die set.

I gold heat embossed the butterfly two times and stenciled them using the Butterflies Layering stencil set. I stenciled the first and third wings in Sunshine, Marigold and Apricot making them darker towards the body. I added a bit of Coral Reef to the yellow middle wing. The tip of the wings were stenciled in Coral Reef. After the stenciling was done I cut both butterflies using the coordinating die.

As I wanted the stars to be yellow I ink blended parts of a white cardbase, where the star windows would be, in Marigold and Apricot. To add some sparkle to the stars I applied an embossing ink and heat embossed it in Iridescent Sparkle embossing powder.

Next I started assembling the shaker card. I adhered a piece of clear acetate sheet on the back of the large star window and added two layers of foam tape on the back of the panel to make the shaker wall. I adhered a few Sunshine Jewels on the big star and placed some yellow and pink beads as shaker element.
I adhered the body parts of the butterflies to make a whole butterfly and foam mounted the butterfly on the card.
The Perfect Sentiments was white heat embossed on black and cut using the coordinating die. I finished off the card with some Ballet Slipper and Emerald City Jewels and a bit of Stickles on the body of the butterfly.
