Hi everyone! I'm on the blog today with a project I made using the new Holiday Bicycle stamp, stencil set, and die! I love this festive bicycle! Those snowflake wheels and that waving scarf? So fun! I was inspired to keep the color palette pastel and my holiday card soft.  

I got started by using the stamp set to heat-emboss the bicycle design onto white heavyweight (110 lb.) cardstock using Wow's gold pearl embossing powder. Then, it was time for my favorite part - coloring! I used the Holiday Bicycle 4-stencil set and started with Sparkling Rose for the body of the bike and a few presents. Mint ink with more presents. Apricot w/Warm Buff for a non-metallic shade of gold on the bike seat and fenders. I used Meadow, Emerald City, and Passion Fruit for the holiday greenery and berries. Then, I used the Holiday Bicycle die to cut out the bicycle and gifts twice and glued the blank die-cuts to the back side of the finished die-cuts to lend them more strength.

I set everything aside and started on the background for my holiday bicycle.

I decided to set a scene, and I wanted the "snow" to have a barely discernable flowery print on it because I thought that would be pretty! I used the Ornate Trellis press plate with Glimmer's Opal hot foil on white cardstock. I used a pencil and my craft knife on the hot-foiled panel for the hills. Then, I brushed Peach Fuzz ink on the snowy hills, knowing the foiled image would resist the ink. I made two of these, cut them to the size I wanted, and used foam tape to adhere them to each other.

I had picked up a couple of new frayed chiffon ribbons from a craft store a few days earlier, and they were still on my table when I was making my card. I decided that wrapping the two colors around a cut-down panel would create a charming effect and keep it soft.

I got my panel adhered to a cardbase of tan cardstock (Classic Craft/Papertrey Ink), then glued the hills and bike down, using foam tape for dimension. That sweet sentiment came from the Magical Holiday press plate and die sets. I used copper foil for the sentiment. Then I placed a few clear drops in blush on the "sky," and I was done with my card!
