Scene Building Made Simple | Jody Morrow

Scene-building cards can look complicated, but they become much easier when you start with the right foundation. For this card, I paired the Sunlit Table cling stamp with the Citrus Still Life stamp, stencil, and die to create a fresh tabletop scene filled with lemons, greenery, glassware, and soft summer color. The card basically makes itself, and there are so many images in the set that you could make multiple cards with one set of die cuts! I kept the color palette light and fresh to give the card an airy, sunlit feel. 

How to re-create this card:

1. Create a top-folding A2 card base from white cardstock.
2. Stamp the Sunlit Table cling stamp onto an A2 panel of white cardstock using detailed black ink.
3. Stamp the Citrus Still Life images and sentiment onto separate white cardstock using detailed black ink.
4. Use the coordinating layering stencils to color the Sunlit Table background and Citrus Still Life images.
   1. Sunlit Table Stencil 1: Ocean Breeze
   2. Stencil 2: Aquamarine
   3. Stencil 3: Lemon Whip, Marigold
   4. Stencil 4: Sage
   5. Stencil 5: Spruce Tips
   6. Citrus Still Life Stencil 1: Lemon Whip
   7. Stencil 2: Marigold
   8. Stencil 3: Ocean Breeze
   9. Stencil 4: Aquamarine
   10. Stencil 5: Sage
   11. Stencil 6: Spruce Tips
5. Die cut the Citrus Still Life images and sentiment using the coordinating die.
6. Trim the Sunlit Table background panel to fit perfectly on the card base.
7. Adhere the background panel to the card base using liquid glue.
8. Cut additional blank die cuts from white cardstock and layer them behind the Citrus Still Life images and sentiment for added dimension.
9. Arrange the die-cut images on the table scene until you are happy with the placement.
10. Adhere the images with foam tape to create depth and dimension.
11. Adhere the sentiment with liquid glue.
