Hello everyone! I hope your week is off to a great start! It’s TaeEun here today with an autumnal card featuring the Cottage Flourish and Simply Said product suites, the Leafy Loops Coverplate die, and the Heirloom Nested Frames die set from the Simple Things Release.
I was inspired by this month’s challenge theme, Fall Foliage, along with the beautiful autumnal color palette. For my card, I colored the Cottage Flourish image in the challenge colors, then separated the different parts of the design and arranged them around a window created with the Heirloom Nested Frames dies. I also added soft ink blending behind the opening to help the warm fall colors glow through the center of the card.

Here is how I made the card.
- Hot foil the Cottage Flourish images in gold and color them using the coordinating stencils in the following colors.
- Stencil 1: Bay Leaf, Grassy Knoll, Begonia, Regal Kiss
- Stencil 2: Clementine, Sweet Mustard, Begonia, Regal Kiss
- Stencil 3: Bay Leaf, Regal Kiss - Die cut the images using the coordinating die and set them aside.
- Cut an A2 sized white panel with the Leafy Loops coverplate die, then cut a window from the panel using one of the Heirloom Nested Frames dies.
- Die cut a separate white frame using the same die used for the window together with a smaller die from the Heirloom Nested Frames set.
- Ink blend the front of a white cardbase with Begonia, Clementine and Bay Leaf, concentrating the color in the areas that will show through the window and around the floral arrangement.
- Smush the Clementine and Bay Leaf inks onto an acetate sheet, add a little water, and splatter the colors over the ink blended area of the cardbase as well as the front panel. Let both dry completely.
- Add the front panel with the window to the cardbsae using foam tape.
- Foam mount the white frame around the opening.
- Arrange the colored Cottage Flourish elements around the frame as shown, using foam tape for dimension.
- Add the decorative strip from the Cottage Flourish design vertically along the top and bottom of the card.
- Stamp the sentiment from the Simply Said set in Detail Black, die cut it, stack it with two additional die cuts for dimension, and add it to the card.
- Finish the card with a few Gold Metallic Pearls.

One-piece floral designs don’t always have to be used exactly as they were designed. Cutting the individual sections apart gives you much more freedom to build your own arrangement and adapt the image to frames, windows, or different card layouts.
The soft ink blending in the background ties in beautifully with the floral colors and adds a gentle glow to the focal area.
I hope this card inspires you to play along with the October 2026 challenge! To join the fun, simply create a new paper project featuring Pinkfresh Studio products as the main focus !
